Swissvita Energy Enhancer (EE) Cream

I never thought I would fall in love with a tinted skincare product.

Over my past 10 years of experience with skincare products, the one thing that I had always resisted using is a tinted product. I feel they block my pores (totally unjustified, just an odd mind and some weird personal feelings) and at times cause me skin problems. When Swissvita first came out with its very own EE cream, I hesitated a little. Nevertheless, I thought I could give the tinted category a second try. Main reason being Swissvita advertising it as a colour-correcting, sun-blocking anti-oxidant that contains hyaluronic acid
and protects the skin. That last part of that description got me hooked on. I accepted the “challenge” and gave it a try.

Descriptions and the direction of use.

First of all, I didn’t expect it to feel so lightweight on the skin. I could not feel a thing after I have put it on especially considering how generous I like to be when it comes to something that has to do with sun-blocking. *coughs* Also, with me being generous, it manages to
cover up some minor flaws on my skin (READ: light coverage, does not work on red angry volcanoes) and that makes it a fairly good foundation as well!

Secondly, this is just so mattifying. I realised, on multiple occasions, no powder was required (as long as I do not go running down the street under the hot sun) to keep my face from looking like a shiny glob at the end of the day.

I am almost finishing this!

But weirdly enough, it does not dry out my skin. I guess the hyaluronic acid is doing its job well! My skin just looks perfectly balanced whenever this cream is on. This is what draws me to the cream the most. Last but not least, it has not broken me out or caused bumps to form on my skin when I stay out late (i.e. not cleaning my skin after more than 8 hours). I mean, what more could I ask?

It only comes in one shade. But the colour-adjusting technique should help! It adjusts to the skin colour slowly once applied.

The only downside to this is that it has to be finished within 6 months per Swissvita. Not sure if you noticed, but at the very bottom of the little tube, there is a tub with a half open lid. On the tub itself, the “6M” means 6 months, which is how long you should be using the product for after opening it.

I guess you can tell where I have just applied it. It is slightly light on the back of my hand.

After 30 seconds, can you still detect where it is now?

Well, frankly speaking, I have, on a few occasions, been not able to finish my products and I still continue using them past the recommended time. I just cannot seem to finish them within the given time frame!

All in all, I am so going to repurchase. It blocks sun, gives the minimum coverage I want, keeps oil away and protects my skin, I am obsessed with this little beast. I think you should give it a try too!
