“To be beautiful is the birthright of every woman.” – the mantra that has been lived by Elizabeth Arden, whose fundamental belief was that beauty should not be a veneer of makeup, but an intelligent cooperation between science and nature in order to develop a woman’s finest natural asset. This well-known brand has been in the beauty industry for 100 years and counting.
I am currently trying their award-winning product called Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum, an anti-aging and anti-wrinkle serum packed in pink capsules. I thought it’s such a great idea. We all know that Retinol is sensitive to light and air, so the serum is sealed in capsules to keep light and air out and potency in. In fact, these Elizabeth Arden capsules are 76% more potent than unencapsulated retinol. This means the highly reactive retinol is protected, ensuring the potency of every application.
Okay, so enough with the babbling about retinol. Let’s jump to the description of this award-winning serum!
-Visibly diminishes lines & wrinkles
-Improves skin texture and tone
-Improves radiance & clarity
-Minimises the look of pores
-Diminishes appearance of age spots and discolourations
-Moisturises skin; non-drying formula
Each capsule delivers a powerful dose of ceramides and retinol to encourage natural oil renewal for dramatically younger-looking skin. The encapsulation technology protects light sensitive retinol, while the ceramides cushion skin with moisture-boosting benefits to help protect against dryness and irritation. Use nightly and discover remarkably smoother, retexturised and less lined skin.
I actually like the packaging, and it’s also easy to use because you know the exact amount to apply on your face and neck. This serum doesn’t have any scent, which I love because though I like scented products, but I prefer unscented products more. The lightweight texture of the semi-translucent gel serum makes it easy to spread.
I think this serum does wonders to my skin. My skin immediately feels silky smooth after applying this on my whole face. But I do suggest to prep your skin with hydrating products first, and let this serum to be your last serum (if you use more than one serum) but before moisturiser or sleeping mask. Usually after this serum, I skip my moisturiser and go straight for my sleeping mask. And the result is just amazing. My skins become soft and smooth, and I can see improvement in my skin texture after 5 nights of using this serum. I am surely impressed! I didn’t see any improvement on the fine lines yet. I’m sure it takes time but I also think this serum will help in preventing new fine lines from forming.
I was on my period, so I woke up a bit late on weekends. My skin felt silky smooth, clear and bright. My face looked naturally radiant as though I wasn’t on my PMS mode, plus my pores look smaller. That means my skin is well hydrated, right? What a miracle.
I am looking forward to finishing this serum and see the results after a month. I do feel a need to restock this! I saw a value set for this serum being sold on HERMO and I’m eyeing that.
