I’m pretty sure everyone who are into K-Beauty must have at least used or seen this classic number by THE FACE SHOP. With most Korean are all about achieving bright and healthy look, natural ingredients are mainly focused in producing skincare products therefore for this cleansing line from the brand, the main ingredient being rice (Oryza Sativa) is being used for all the products.
There are several foam cleansers in the Rice Water Bright line and this is Cleansing Foam is indeed the simplest form and even after all these years, I still have it in my beauty stash as I kept on coming back to this especially in between trying other facial cleansers available in the market. Now, let’s go to some basic information on the product.

- Rinse with lukewarm water.

As shown above, the product comes in the similar design for the brand’s Rice Water Bright cleansing line with a nice black cap which was sealed before opening. There’s product full description at the back of the bottle in both English and French for your convenience. The expiry date is printed at the bottom of the bottle in YYYYMMDD (year-month-day) format.
As you can see in the above photo, the foam is quite thick even for just small amount. It’s pearly white and opaque like a typical foam cleanser.
Once lathered up with water, the foam formed is still quite thick so if you prefer soft and bubbly foam, it’s better to use bubble maker.
This cleansing foam is quite nice as it makes my skin feels so smooth and brightened up a bit – as other cleansers although I have to warn you that it’s important to ensure that you rinse off the cleanser thoroughly as when your face appear bright unnaturally, there could be traces of it left on skin due to titanium dioxide (sunscreen ingredient) contained in the cleanser.
This cleanser also contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which is known to be a sensitizing cleansing agent so if you have sensitive or rather have damaged skin barrier, it’s better to avoid this cleanser.
Overall, I give this product 4/5. I still do love it for what it is, a simple cleanser that smells nicely for my non-irritated skin days. It’s also perfect for when I’m in need of triple cleansing especially after spending hours under the sun and reapplied my sunscreens several times throughout the day. I’d be removing everything using the cleansing oil, use this foam cleanser as second cleanser and lastly, the cleansing water to wipe off my skin to get rid of any trace of impurities.
