Centella Asiatica: Centella Asiatica (also known as gotu kola, Indian Pennywort and Mandookaparni) has been used for centuries as a medicinal herb and was referred to in the French pharmacopoeia in 1884, as well as the ancient traditional Chinese Shennong Herbal some 2,000 years ago, as well in Indian Ayurvedic medicine some 3,000 years ago.
It is used here for better micro-circulation, detoxifying the eye contour, revitalizing connective tissue. Clearing up edema & strengthening of veins.
Sodium Hyaluronate: It is naturally occurring and widespread component found within the extra-cellular space within the skin, especially those of the face. Its water-binding and water-attracting attributes fill up the spaces between the connective fibers collagen and elastin in the dermis. It hydrates the skin, and makes the face plump and voluptuous.
Persea Gratissima Oil: It is the fixed oil obtained by pressing the dehydrated sliced flesh of the avocado pear to be used for nourishing and moisturizing skin.
Bisabolol: Bisabolol is one of the key components of the Chamomile (Matricaria) essential oil (between 10% and 20%). Thanks to its excellent anti-inflammatory power, it is used in products, such as preparations for sensitive skins, for babies, for hair care, or against erythemas and skins subject to rednesses.
Methylsilanol Mannuronate: It is an organic derivative of seaweed that binds moisture in the epidermis therefore firming and strengthening the skin. The sea algae extract found in Methylsilanol Mannuronate has long-lasting moisturizing properties that help combat the deterioration of collagen and elastin fibers, giving it skin firming properties; it is also known to fight free radicals.
Methylsilanol Mannuronate is also known to act as an anti-oxidant to actively prevent premature aging. In vitro studies have shown that Methylsilanol Manurronate normalizes cellular metabolism, is a tissue regenerator and has also been shown to have detoxifying properties.
Oryzanol: It is a substance found in grains. It is used to decrease cholesterol (fat) in the blood and to treat skin rashes. It is found that Oryzanol has anti-oxidant properties to delay skin aging process.
Product packaging:
The jar comes in a pretty standard eye cream size which is not that big in my opinion. Mostly eye cream product comes in a small size so, I don’t get surprised with it. The lid is white and the jar comes in a sturdy transparent glass, also I really appreciate it when companies include spatula in it. This eye cream does come with a mini plastic spatula so, it is more hygiene.
Texture/ Finish/ Fragrance:
From outside, we can see that the pearl gel is actually around it and look very pretty and when I opened the cap, there’s transparent gel only in the middle. So, the transparent gel is actually surrounded by pearl gel. Very unique! I like my eye cream comes in a gel type instead of cream so this one is right up my alley. The scent is something that I would like to highlight too. This gel-cream smells very very nice and the scent kinda addicting.
To my surprise, even though this is a gel-type eye cream, it feels very hydrating and the product very easy to apply. The gel absorbs pretty fast but still has that hydrating feel to it. You can mix the pearl and the gel together or separately, but for me, I like to mix it, I think this is the proper way. The finish of it is not greasy but it has slightly sticky but still feels hydrated. I can feel this eye cream give slightly different, I noticed my under eyes are significantly more pump and brighten a bit.
Overall I’m super happy with this eye cream. So, if you guys wanna spend more money on eye cream product, this one I really recommend and I don’t think you’ll regret it.
