Iunik has been a really popular korean skincare brand on the market for its EWG green level ingredients and minimalist packaging and concept. Today, we’re going to review the Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Pack!
The iUNIK propolis vitamin sleeping mask claims to…
- deeply moisturize and nourish with propolis extract
- brighten skin
- soothe sensitive skin with centella asiatica leaf water
- improve wrinkles
The selling point of this product is that it contains 16% of propolis extract, 8% vitamin tree fruit extract and 5% centella leaf water (Which is a common ingredient for sensitive skin products such as Skin1004 100% Centella ampoule). Now propolis is a big skincare ingredient widely known for its healing and nourishing properties and 16% is definitely considerably high in a cream. Bonus points.
What’s more intriguing is that all of Iunik’s products are EWG Green safe. Meaning they use low hazard and safe ingredients ranked by EWG, Environmental Working Group. Even in COSDNA, most of the ingredients shocked me with being 1-2 safety and only 2 being 3-6.
Right off the bat, there is already another point for Iunik which is English instructions and ingredients on the packaging. I cannot stress enough how tiresome it is to have to go up on google and search of english translated versions of korean products. This saves me so much time and helps so much when I want to mentally jot down my first impression of products.
This comes in a sleek tube packaging similar to the Cosrx Honey Sleeping Mask. This contains 60ml and has quite a lot of product for a sleeping pack. I love the new trend of sleeping packs in tube form as it’s so much more convenient (Like the A’pieu Madecasoside Cream which i’ll be reviewing soon).
It comes out in a white occlusive cream. It feels a little heavy at first, but actually spreads out on the skin easily. It doesn’t have any scent in particular as well . When i first applied this on my skin, I was amazed at how easily it spreads despite being a cream. It does feel a little sticky and heavy at first, but after spreading it out and letting it absorb my skin feels moisturized and nourished as claimed. Although you do have to get use to the slight feeling of being ‘heavy’ as it sits on the skin after spreading, I find that it doesn’t bother me that much and leaves my skin looking radiant and glowy in the morning.
- Convenient packaging for a sleeping pack, hygienic
- Nourishing and Moisturizing
- Leaves skin feeling supple and moisturized
- Slight glow
- EWG safe ingredients recommended for all skin types
- Slight ‘heavy’ feeling as it sits on top of the skin, tho it doesn’t bother me much
- Might not be suitable for people with Oily skin
In a nutshell,
I definitely loved this sleeping pack and I might consider replacing my HG Naruko rose night gelly with this. If you are looking for a sleeping pack and have dry/combo skin or leave in cold winter weather, definitely consider trying this out!
