Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Review

What it is:
Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color is a velvety matte texture with metallic pearls to create a striking feminine look. The highlight ingredient is green tea and vitamin E which make your lips more supple and soft. If you love the opaque pigmentation, very metallic lipstick and staying power of liquid lipsticks but don’t like the drying, hard texture once they set, then you’ll enjoy this velvet matte metallic cream lip color. All Palladio’s product is botanical, always vitamin-infused and cruelty-free.

Packaging:
PALLADIO VELVET MATTE METALLIC Cream Lip Color are housed in a clear plastic tube with a container shaped like a lipstick bullet inside. The packaging almost similar like Maybelline Velvet Matte Lip Color which might cause some confusion.

Texture and Fragrance:
The texture is very creamy but at some point, although they are metallic lipstick, but they’re not actually that metallic. The metallic sheen wasn’t as obvious and the metallic intensity differs from shade to shade. These Palladio lipsticks have a pearly sheen to them, no chunky sparkle which mostly metallic lipstick has. They feel velvety smooth and kinda mousse-y on the lips which I love because my lip feels comfortable.

These lipstick has a bit of plastic smell but not strong and you barely smell it.

Pigmentation And Performance:
Palladio metallic lipstick is full coverage and super pigmented. One coat is enough to cover whole lips. Apart from that, I love all the colors in this range.

Staying power:
These lipstick stay in place very well and it lasts the whole day on me. Since this lipstick is not matte lipstick, it will transfer for sure when you are wearing them but they still there until you remove them. Also, they are very easy to remove and will not make your day burdened.

PALLADIO VELVET MATTE METALLIC Cream Lip Color

Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color in Opulent (4.16g)

Opulent is dark plum color which practically goes well with every skin tone. It’s creamy and accentuates my lip lines beautifully. Opulent dries down quite fast as compared with others here. These have beautiful color and if you haven’t added dark plum lipstick to your stash, then you should do by now.

Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color in Ritzy (4.16g)

Ritzy is a bright classic red with barely metallic. The metallic sheen barely showed on the lips and seem buried deeper into the product. This shade probably has the least metallic to me but the consistency of this is highly pigmented, thick and creamy which makes it easier to apply with one swipe only.

Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color in Gilded (4.16g)

Gilded is the lightest shade in this metallic range. The colors more to warm brown with bronze shimmers. It’s buildable and smooth when applied. The lipstick does not dry down completely and I found out, it is a bit frustrating when I press my lips, the colors turn to be a bit uneven and unflattering to me. Also, I feel this shade not for me and makes my face looks very sick.

Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color in Brilliant (4.16g)
Brilliant is a deep brown burgundy with fine brown shimmers. It goes on creamy and full coverage but somehow the product does not stay in place which makes my lip lines look unflattering.

Palladio Velvet Matte Metallic Cream Lip Color in Lavish (4.16g)

Lavish is a deep red with brown undertones. It has nice purple metallic shimmer but not too obvious. The lipstick goes on creamy with opaque pigmentation and looks nice on its own. These do transfer for sure but it feels hydrating on the lips, which is good.

To summarize those lengthy words, here is the pros and cons of this lipstick.

Pros
– Formula is hydrating
– The texture is fairly creamy
– Easy to apply and remove
– Super affordable
– Very comfortable
– Full coverage and pigmented
– No chunky sparkles
– Wearable as it is not really metallic

Cons
– Not really metallic
– Extremely prone to transfer

Rating: 4/5
