Cosrx Products I Swear By (Part 1): Cosrx AHA Whitehead Power Liquid

I believe CosRX need no fancy introduction when it comes to its brand name and commitment in delivering the demands of their consumers. Well known for developing effective products for multiple targeted concerns, coupled with simple product design and packaging, make the brand stand tall among beauty brands in the growing Korean skincare market and topping our skincare wishlish.

Today we’re looking at the first part of “CosRx Products I Swear By” featuring one of CosRx’s famous products I’ve tested and my skin approved of. And this product is – AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid.

I’m still in love with this AHA because it really functions as what it claims to do. I still remember the first time I used it and my nose just become squeaky clean overnight – FINALLY, I found a product that works !

Hermo describes this AHA as “a savior for the skin to control the production of whitehead and sebum”. This is due to the high content of apple water (75%) that contains natural AHA and also the glycolic acid (7%) that helps to gently exfoliate and cleanse the skin surface, reduces dead skin cell and excess sebum.

This AHA comes in a translucent, frosty plastic packaging with its signature purple coloured label that includes the product’s name and description. It also comes with a pump that enables you to dispense your desired amount of product. Since this product is runny and transparent in color, it is advisable to dispense it to the back of your palm carefully as you only need a pea sized amount of the product (or less). One can also use a cotton pad if you’re afraid it’ll be unhygienic to use your fingers to apply the product.  Reminder, please treat this AHA as a spot treatment (nose, chin) and always be sure to patch test.

As skin conditions differ for each person, it is best to use a hydrating mist before using this AHA as first timers may experience stinging sensation if applied directly to the skin. As for me, this product works best when applied to my bare skin. But as usual, your miles may vary. Once applied, let it work its magic for a good 10 minutes or so, then it can be followed by the rest of your normal skincare routine. Depending on your skin, the AHA should be applied before or after the facial mist or toner then followed by essence/serum > ampoule > moisturizer.

Please make sure you provide enough hydration and moisture to your face after using the AHA and never ever skip on sunscreen. That is the basic rule when using acids and if you’re not wearing sunscreen, don’t even think about incorporating acids into your routine. You’ll risk damaging your skin if you ever do that. Make sure to re-apply the sunscreen accordingly or whenever you’re exposed to sunlight.

Wait, where were we ? Got lost for a while there..lets continue!

So, let the AHA work its magic on your skin and wake up with a squeaky clean nose. Did I mention that AHA also helps to brighten overall complexion as it accelerates skin turnover rate due to its exfoliating nature? Okay, now you know! :D

There are tonnes of AHA products out there in the market, so make sure to read reviews and feedback from people that have tried them out. And please buy from a credible offline/online store to make sure your get the results worth your investment.
