AHC Premium Hydra B5 Lotion Review

AHC is the brand that has got me drolling over their The Pure Eye Cream for Face, which is my favorite cream at the moment for how hydrating, lightweight and nourishing it is; but I’ve recently also fallen in love with their lotion from the Premium Hydra B5 line and I’m here today to explain why.

The AHC Premium Hydra B5 Lotion claims to have nourishing properties to soothe and protect even sensitive skin for a healthy glow! It contains ingredients such as Vitamin B5 (panthenol) – soothing, moisturizing properties to nourish skin to its fullest; Hyaluronic acid – moisture-retaining properties provide deep hydration for dry and sensitive skin, Botanical extracts – Purslane, edelweiss equip skin with much needed calming nutrients.

The AHC Premium Hydra B5 Lotion claims to

  • Nourish and soothe skin
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Provide healthy, glowing looking skin
  • Contains ingredients such as Vitamin B5/Panthenol which is soothing and reduces inflammation in sensitive, acne-prone skin
  • Contains botanical extracts to soothe skin

According to the COSDNA list, most of the ingredients are safe except for a few potential triggers like CyclopentasiloxanePolysorbate 60Phenoxyethanol.

It comes in a minimalistic, class blue box. There’s also a safety seal and QR code to guarantee its new, unopened and genuine!

There’s also the english ingredient list printed out on the box.

The product comes in a frosted, blue glass-like bottle. Very classy and luxurious.

There’s also a safety seal cap to prevent leakage! Very convenient if you’re traveling.

The product comes out a milky white emulsion that looks a little thick.  It’s actually lightweight and spreads onto the skin very easily! It looks heavy at first but don’t let that scare you, it’s really not! It’s a hydrating layer that your skin will appreciate before moving onto a cream! I love how it gives the right amount of hydration without being heavy, stick or greasy. Definitely something suitable for morning and in the malaysian humid weather.

  • Great ingredient list
  • Hydrating and soothing
  • Doesn’t feel sticky/greasy/heavy
  • Absorbs into skin easily
  • Perfect for humid weather

  • May not be hydrating enough to be used as a standalone moisturizer
  • A bit pricey

In a nutshell,

I definitely liked the AHC Premium Hydra B5 Lotion. It’s the perfect balance of an emulsion and a cream. I for sure will use this a lot in the morning and when I’m feeling like I need an extra layer of hydration before my sleeping cream. I love the hydration it provides without feeling sticky too.

I totally recommend this product to everyone if you are looking for a good, luxurious lotion/emulsion!
