Why I Fell In Love with Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50+ PA++++

Klairs is an eco and vegan friendly brand from Korea that doesn’t use colorants, alcohol, parabens or artificial fragrances. They are known as a high quality skincare brand that is safe even for sensitive skin. The only product that I’ve manage to try from Klairs is their famous water-based sunscreen.

First of all, lets see what are the product claims...

The Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA++++ is an everyday sun protector for sensitive skin. It is a water-based sunscreen that is non-sticky, light, and fresh with a soft, weightless finish. Also with its high SPF and PA level, it completely guards the skin against UVA and UVB rays without leaving any greasiness or white cast.

It contains ingredients that helps to brighten, hydrate, and protect.

It is recommended for all skin types including sensitive skin, those who want a light, non-sticky sunscreen and those who do not want a white cast.

Water, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Butylene Glycol, Dibutyl Adipate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Silica, Cetearyl Olivate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Sorbitan Stearate, Panthenol, Beta-Glucan, Disodium EDTA, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluornate, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopherol, Allantoin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil

This sunscreen comes in a large, soft, easy-to-squeeze white tube with a silver metallic screw  cap. It comes with a pointed applicator, perfect for controlling the desired amount. The large amount of 80ml of product could last me for a few months. Super economic. It’s also travel friendly as the tube is quite slim/flat and can fit in my makeup bag.

I love the soft gel texture white cream as it absorbs really fast. The creamy texture made it so spreadable.

As seen on the pictures below, the sunscreen left me with no white cast, plus I don’t feel any tightness nor greasiness.  Since it has no added fragrance, it has this light, almost chemical scent that comes naturally from the ingredients. It has a 12 month lifespan after opening. So we need to write down the expiry date so that we don’t forget about it

The application is much better than the other sunscreens that I’ve tried before. This product has a semi-opaque appearance with a very lightweight gel finish. It feels very hydrating and a little bit thick actually, but it also easy to pat into the skin. It will mostly absorb into your skin leaving little to no white cast and a slight dewiness – enough to keep you looking fresh and hydrated, but without feeling heavy. Two fingers of product enough to cover the whole face.

I’m always hesitant to try out new sunscreens and tend to stick to good ones that I’m in love with. For me, having the right formulation (combined with high UV protection) is the key to why I’m able to wear sun protection everyday.

I’m extremely happy with this sunscreen because it has all the things that I’m looking for in a sunscreen. It’s very hydrating, blends smoothly, absorbs and dries down quickly and leaves no white cast, besides it comes in a large amounts (80ml).

This product definitely got a good rating from me and I can’t actually find a way to criticize it! I think that is can be a little thicker than I’m used to using for my combination skin, but it still works for me. However, I would recommend this product for dry to normal skin, as I feel it may be too hydrating for oily skin types.

Rate : 5/5

I will keep repurchasing this especially when Hermo put this on sale.
