REVIEW | I’M SORRY FOR MY SKIN Jelly Mask – #Relaxing

With how stressful life can be, I’m sure most of us have indulged in our fair share of guilty pleasures. But have you ever thought of the impact these habits could leave on our skin, especially in the long run?

Aiming to address this issue of skin suffering from constant stress and negative effects from harmful habits such as excessive smoking, drinking alcohol and high caffeine intake, I’m Sorry For My Skin has released a series of hypo allergenic sheet masks to provide a much needed skin detoxification solution.

And although I’ve not smoked a cigarette in my life, this #Smokepack from the collection seems perfect for my often stressed, sensitive skin. So, let’s see how it fares!

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Polyacrylic Acid, Dimethicone, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Honey Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Potassium Hydroxide, Cellulose Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Root Extract, Abronia Villosa Leaf Extract, Agave Americana Stem Extract, Yucca Brevifolia Root Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Flower Extract, Fouqueria Splendens Stem Extract, Larrea Tridentata Extract, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Trehalose, Tamarindus Indica Seed Polysaccharide, Lecithin, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Leaf Extract, Silica, Nasturtium Officinale Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyquaternium-51, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

33ml / Thick, light amber jelly consistency. It absorbs easily into the skin, leaving a highly moisturising and soothing finish, with little to no tackiness!

  1. After cleansing your face, apply some skin toner.
  2. Take the product out of the package and adhere it evenly over your face, avoiding the eye and mouth area.
  3. Remove it after 10-20 minutes.
  4. Using your fingers, gently pat any remaining product into the skin until thoroughly absorbed.

TIP! Apply jelly essence left in the pouch or the sheet mask on your neck, body and other necessary parts.

Sensitive (prone to redness and irritation), combination-dry, acne-prone and dehydrated.

With an aesthetically-pleasing smoky mask packaging, I’m Sorry For My Skin’s Relaxing Jelly Mask definitely had my interest piqued right off the bat. Made of cupra sheet material, the mask is of medium thickness and has a slightly rough texture. There is also no mask backing, though unfolding it is no problem thankfully.

Fit-wise, it could be better as I find it a bit too large for my face. But I’d definitely rather have a too big sheet mask than a small one! Adherence is good, though you can definitely feel the heavy jelly essence of the mask during use, which can be annoying. Fortunately, no essence dripped down to my neck!

Overall, my first foray into I’m Sorry For My Skin’s Jelly sheet mask collection is a positive one, and I’d definitely love to try out more! It definitely helped to soothe and nourish my sensitive skin very well; so much so that I didn’t feel the immediate need to follow up with a moisturiser post-mask session! Though I still did after I allowed the jelly to sink in, just to seal the deal.

I also noticed some brightening effects, and diminished appearance of pores, which usually indicates how well moisturised my skin is. So while I didn’t wholly enjoy how heavy the mask sat on my skin, it has definitely served its Relaxing purpose!
