As I have been practicing double cleansing for years, I always go for foam-type facial cleansers to couple with my oil-based first cleanser to effectively remove all kinds of impurities especially for my evening skincare routine.
While I do enjoy using gentle and mild gel cleansers due to my current dehydrated and sensitised skin, I still have several deep cleansers such as this Triple Multi Cleansing Foam from South Korean brand, Mamonde in my skincare stash that I use for my double cleansing routines.
What’s interesting about this cleanser?:
3-in-1 multi-functional cleansing foam that is refreshing like Iris water to effectively remove makeup and impurities, sunscreen and dead skin cells all at once.
- Iris Extract has been discovered to contain excellent natural cleansing power to cleanse skin without stripping off skin’s natural moisture.
- Controls sebum secretion with anti-bacterial effect.
- Beta-Carotene vitalizes skin and act as an anti-oxidant and precursor of Vitamin A.
How to Use:
- Wet hands, dispense the product sufficiently and then foam up by adding water to it.
- Apply the foam onto your face, massage gently and then rinse off thoroughly.
Capacity: 175ml. About 3 to 4 months of daily use.
Glycerin, Water, Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, PEG-32, Potassium Hydroxide, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lauric Acid, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Fragrance, Silica, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate, Alcohol, Acrylates / Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Iris Ensata Extract, Butylene Glycol, Polyacrylic Acid, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Beta-Carotene, Acorus Calamus Root Extract, Caprylyl Glycol
The product comes in a minimal, slightly transparent plastic tube without plastic cover or wrapper which is more than sufficient.
There are English product descriptions printed on the label sticker at the back of the tube and the Expiry Date printed at the top of the tube itself and the format is EXP YYYY/MM/DD (Year/Month/Day) for your reference.
This facial cleanser was sealed and even after using the product for about 2 months now, the cap works nicely still while dispensing the product well.
As shown above, the product is in that quite thick, white, cream and if you look closely, there’re some fine exfoliating grains which I’m assuming made of silica. The above amount of product is usually how much I would dispense to wash my facial and neck area with.
As you can see, the cleanser turned into that lightweight foam upon mixed with a little bit water or applied right on damped skin and this is where I usually massage my facial area for about 20 to 30 seconds to gently exfoliate my skin before adding more water to form more bubbles before rinsing it off.
The foam doesn’t feel abrasive on my skin and it has a nice but strong floral scent which can be quite overpowering to some but it doesn’t linger.
My skin feels so smooth and soft to touch after every wash but unfortunately this cleanser does irritate my redness-prone facial area so with that, I only use this cleanser on my normal skin days.
I would be using this rather deep cleanser to remove excess oil-based first cleanser like cleansing balm or cleansing oil. If I were to remove light makeup and sunscreen applications for my midday skincare routine, I would simply use cleansing wipes or micellar water and then follow up with this cleanser for thorough cleansing step.
Now, looking at the ingredient list, there are only ingredients with EWG grades ranging from 1 to 4 aside from Alcohol and Fragrance which are known to be irritating to those with sensitive skin or sensitised skin with damaged skin barrier like mine. For those of you who have fungal acne, you might want to avoid using this cleanser as it contains several fungal acne triggers which I have highlighted on the ingredient list above.
Overall, I give this cleanser 3/5. While it doesn’t work well with my current skin condition, I’m sure it will work fine for normal skin people at the very least but yes, Your Miles May Vary.

Normally in the mornings, I would focus merely on hydrating and brightening skincare products, using all the treatment products like anti-aging serums and at night
