PACKAGING & DESIGN

The product comes in a box and within that you’ll find a frosted glass bottle where the good stuff is housed. The bottle is quite heavy & fragile and needs to handled with care as sometimes my hand tend to slip from the bottle. I would say that it has a minimal luxury design. The plastic bright red twist cap is engraved with the brand name at the top. Pretty isn’t it?

Engraved ‘loreal paris’

Not much details on the back side

Lets twist open the red cap shall we. Here where the product will come out. Quite a big opening for a very water texture but still controllable.

TEXTURE

The texture is quite runny but not as light as water. Colorless. A bit slippery but it adsorb beautifully on skin.

The product is running everywhere

I do feel a bit tackiness right after application but it will go away leaving only soft & supple skin. No greasiness too.

After application

SCENT

It has quite a strong fragrance. A fancy perfumy scent. I’m usually turned off by skincare with strong scents but as long as the fragrance doesn’t cause irritation or unnecessary breakouts I’m okay with it.

QUANTITY

Contains 130ml of products. With period after open (PAO) of 12M & price tag, this essence is a very affordable bargain.

** I’m quite disappointed that the main star, Centella Asiatica Extract is not placed higher in the ingredients list.

USAGE & APPLICATION

As stated on the packaging, description & bottle, this is an essence so I used this right after my toner step. Sometimes I also use this in replacement of my hydrating toner if I needed a simple routine.

PERFORMANCE

This essence is quite hydrating for me and I can skip my hydrating toner using this. Sometimes this essence can be a bit heavy for me especially in hot weather. Centella is claimed to be an anti inflammatory & can rejuvenate skin. I can see that this product calmed redness due to acne inflammation. Other than that, I didn’t see any other results & changes to my skin.

FINAL VERDICT

I would conclude that this essence fits well with dry to normal skin type. I believe with long term usage, one can see desired results.
