REVIEW | L’OREAL PARIS MICELLAR WATER (MOISTURIZING)

Micellar water is a combination of purified water, hydrating ingredient, and low concentration of mild surfactant and together they create a microscopic molecule called micelles. The micelles draw oil, dirt, sebum, and all unpleasant thing on top of your skin leaving the skin feeling fresh and comfortable. PACKAGING, TEXTURE & SCENTS

The micellar water comes in a clear and translucent plastic bottle packaging where you can see how much the product is left after using it for a while. It has two different sizes: 250ml and 400ml on top of the bottle there is a small hole to easily pour the water on top of a cotton pad. At the back of the bottle, Loreal laid down all crucial information for your such as a brief description of the product, how to use, detail ingredient lists, Period After Opening (PAO), the volume of products, and Manufacturing date (Mfg). The PAO of the micellar water is 6 months which means the product needs to use within 6 Months after the product opening date.

The texture of the micellar water is watery and there is no explicit scent detected the entire time I used the micellar water. To be precise it is scentless since the micellar water is free from fragrance.

MY THOUGHTS

This micellar water is one of my holy grail micellar water. When I first start to know what is skincare this micellar water capture my attention and after trying the micellar water for the first time, I instantly fell in love with the formulation. It is pleasant on the skin and moisturizing to my dry and sometimes sensitive skin. The best thing about this micellar water is because I don’t need a separate eye & lips makeup remover. After all, it is gentle to my eyes and lips since the micellar water doesn’t cause irritation even when it accidentally gets into my eyes.

I was awed by the micellar water’s ability to get rid of waterproof makeup! With just 2-3 swipes it is enough to remove the highly-pigmented waterproof lipstick. You can check out the video down below! It removed the waterproof makeup effortlessly without irritating my skin. Above all, it cleanses while keeping the moisture in my skin. I also love the texture of the micellar water. The watery texture glides easily and smoothly on the skin making it easier to remove makeup even waterproof makeup.

The non-rinsing formulation is mild for my skin since I didn’t experience any redness even when I didn’t rinse the micellar water. I sometimes don’t rinse the micellar water when I feel exhausted and dodn’t have the time to make proper and full skincare routine, so I just used the micellar water to purify my skin from sebum and dirt. But it best for you guys to wash your face after using the micellar water because it still encompasses a mild surfactant that can make your skin to become sensitive if used long term. But I barely did the non-rinsing method and even then, my skin hasn’t reacted negatively towards the process but again, it depends on your skin condition. YMMV.

I exceptionally recommend all of you to try the micellar water and honestly, after trying considerable amounts of micellar water from different brands, I’m back to using this micellar water from Loreal as it has one of the superbest formulation with an economical price tag. You don’t even have to purchase a separate makeup remover for eyes and lips since this micellar water can do the job with excellent performance and most importantly it is gentle and it delivers all the claim on the packaging. I love it!
