REVIEW | Klairs Supple Preparation Toner

If you’re searching for the perfect toner for all skin types, you might want to try Klairs Supple Preparation Toner! Today, let’s review one  of K-skincare’s most beloved toners.

Who is it for?

Everyone! Dry skin, sensitive skin, oily skin, you name it. This hydrating toner is mild and won’t clog pores, or leave your skin feeling dry and stripped.

The main purpose of this toner is hydration, therefore every skin type could benefit from it for plump, glowing skin. Dry skin types are especially suited for it.

What’s it made of?

Key ingredients include:

  • Sodium Hyaluronate – Hydrating and moisturising
  • Centella Asiatica Extract – Provides antioxidants and soothes skin
  • Althaea Rosea Flower Extract  – Skin soothing and texture enhancing
  • Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate – Water soluble form of Vitamin C for skin brightening
  • Healthy Oils such as Lavender, Citrus Peel, Orange Peel and more!

Overall, it’s made of very natural and nourishing ingredients. No alcohol, no harsh chemicals, and that’s sure to keep your skin happy 😀

Ingredient list:

Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Natto Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Centella Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Polyquaternium-51, Chlorphenesin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Carbomer, Panthenol, Arginine, Luffa Cylindrica Fruit/Leaf/Stem Extract, Beta-Glucan, Althaea Rosea Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Copper Tripeptide-1

Texture and Smell

As you can see, this toner is not a clear, watery type, but is a lot more viscous and cloudy. It has a consistency closer to some serums or essences.

Because it is not runny, I prefer to transfer it to the palm of my hand before applying it directly to my face, instead of using a traditional cotton pad. Don’t want to waste any of this precious baby!

Smell wise, it has a very pleasant and fresh scent of natural herbs. Whenever I pat it on my face, I truly feel as though I’m relaxing in a spa or facial.

So, how well does it actually work?

I find that after I apply this toner, the rest of my skincare absorbs really well, and makeup also adheres firmly and lasts longer throughout the day. This toner makes a wonderful base to start off your day and night routine.

Overall, I am really impressed by this toner. Price wise, it is considered mid-range, but I think it’s worth the investment if you have the budget. One bottle also lasts for a long time (I have been using mine for almost half a year!) so you’ll definitely be getting a lot of good use out of it.
