PERIOD AFTER OPENING (PAO):
HOW TO USE:
- Dispense an adequate amount of product onto clean hands.
- Lather with water and gently massage onto wet face in circular motions.
- Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water.
More or less unscented, as it contains no artificial or natural fragrance. However, I do find there to be a mild chemical scent that lingers while cleansing.
Claimed to be 5.5 by the brand, and tested with at-home pH strips to be around ~5-6, which pretty much hits the mark. Nice!
Clear, runny liquid-gel texture which produces a mild foam when mixed with water. Feels very gentle on the skin, with a nice “clean” and lightly hydrating finish. No tightness felt at all.
MY SKIN TYPE:
Sensitive (prone to redness and irritation), combination-dry, acne-prone and dehydrated.
OVERALL THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCE:
As someone that deals with naturally sensitive skin that’s also acne-prone, I often find it troublesome to find cleansers that are gentle, rid of ingredients that are potentially sensitizing (for me, it’s often drying alcohols and ocassionally essential oils), and also able to not aggravate my clog-prone skin while cutting through the daily grime. Thankfully though, The Vegan Glow’s Mild Foam Cleanser has definitely been a great safe option for me!
True to its gentle formulation, I’ve found that it works great for days when I need minimal abrasiveness. And while sometimes I find it too gentle to throughly remove my cleansing balm’s leftover residue and any extra grime/pollutants from the day, if I use it per the 60 second rule, it works just as great as the other “tougher” cleansers in my skincare rotation.
So, if you’re in the market for a new water-based cleanser that’s sure to be gentle on your skin (or at least I hope so!), I’d definitely recommend checking out this baby! It’s not the cheapest option, but it’ll definitely last you awhile considering you really don’t need much per use.
