If you read my other reviews on Vaseline lotion that I have tried, you might know that sadly, none of them really up to my satisfaction and expectation. If I was given a choice, I always go for the soothing range as I tend to get sunburn quite easily. If I were to stand under hot sun for 15 minutes, my skin will turn reddish and eventually be burned the next day. Especially on my shoulders and face areas. I better not wear any sleeveless dresses. LOL.
Aloe vera is known for skin soothing and healing. Well, I guess that’s the reason why I chose to review this lotion as well. I try to make it a habit to apply it twice a day for skin healing; before bedtime and right after showering. I was told by one of my friend that our skin tend to absorb skincare better after a shower due to the opening of our skin pores. Yes, this might be the true. But I don’t feel the it on my skin as I sweat right after my showers. I can’t imagine topping it up with a layer of lotion. So, I applied it right before my bedtime instead.
It says here that this lotion is non-greasy and fast absorbing. I can tell the differences of all these lotions because I tested almost all of them. Yes, indeed this Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion Aloe Soothe is not as greasy as the rest.
In fact, this does not leave any residue on my skin, when I’m in air conditioned room. But the moment I step out from my office, or I started to sweat. I could feel the residue on my skin. Makes me feel uneasy anyway. I would say that Vaseline range lotions suits best for those really dry skin. I don’t really recommend for those who sweat easily like me it unless you don’t mind or feels ok with it. Probably I need to look for more gel-ish texture kind of lotion. No comment on the scent of Vaseline lotion, they are all fine for me. Rate 3 out of 5 for this item, based on my personal preferences and experiences only.
