REVIEW | Oxy Ultimate Cleanser

The Oxy brand been in the market for sometime and they are famous on their acne cream. I used a lot of them back then because of my problematic skin since my teen years. I suffered a lot from having serious acne attack. Really stressful over it, even now I’m still fighting with acne. I came across this brand today at drugstore, there’s promotion ongoing, so I just grabbed one and have a try see if it could help my acne prone skin.

The most common skin problems for us living in a hot and humid country are oily skin, acne, and black/white heads. My skin tend to get bumps whenever I’m exposed too often on outdoor or a day of skipping skin care. I’m totally attracted by this 8 in 1 cleanser.

How does it work? :

FIGHT PIMPLES – With AC.net & Isopropyl Methylphenol to gently fight pimples.

ANTI BLACKHEAD – Help to remove blackheads, dead skin cells and trapped dirt in pores with continuous use.

UNCLOG PORES – Help to penetrate pores and gently lift dirt to refine skin tone and texture.

REMOVES EXCESS OIL – Help to remove excess sebum that cause pimples.

DEEP CLEANS – Gently cleanse skin to dissolve pimple-causing impurities.

MOISTURIZES SKIN – With Sage Extract, Seaweed Extract and Olive Oil to avoid dry feeling after wash.

SOOTHES SKIN – With Dipotassium Glycyrrhizinate to soothe irritated skin.

REFRESHES SKIN – With Menthol to provide instant cooling sensation to help refresh and energize skin

How to use:

WET FACE, SQUEEZE ABOUT 2CM ONTO PALM. LATHER WITH WATER AND MASSAGE GENTLY ONTO FACE. RINSE THOROUGHLY.

My thoughts:

Oxy Ultimate Cleanser foams up pretty well and it’s just so nice and not super duper foamy. I don’t like cleansers that create too much foam, as my skin will be very dry after that. When you feel tightness on your skin after washing, it means the cleanser is way too harsh for your skin to adapt to. Eventually our face will secrete more oil to balance the moisture level on our skin surface.

One thing I really love about this cleanser is the minty and cooling sensation. I totally did not expect this! The sensation kicks in after I pat dry my skin! LOL. Feeling so refreshing and soothing, even the smell is not too strong of alcohol, still acceptable. But my advise is, try not to let the foam to enter into the corner of your eyes as it is slightly menthol and minty which might case discomfort for your eyes. So must shut your eyes tightly when washing your face. LOL.

On the other hand, this cleanser is reasonable in price and does not hurt my pocket as well. I would rate 4/5 for this product because this is totally suitable for those with acne prone skin.
