Remember those days when the only way we know to exfoliate was by using ready-made scrubs bought from the drugstores, or those locally-made coffee scrubs, or you just homemade your own scrubs using brown sugar and honey? Luckily technology is getting more advanced and now we have more selection; peeling gels, gommages and even chemical exfoliators!
Here I’m gonna share with you my current exfoliator; a chemical exfoliator toner from Jumiso :)

I love that this toner is watery and quite hydrating on my skin. You may apply it by using palm or cotton pads. I personally use cotton pads and swipe it light-handily on my skin. It left a refreshing feeling, no tacky or greasy finish which I really like. My exfoliating routine is very minimal, in the evening after cleansing I tone my skin with this exfoliating toner and finish it off with my trusty Klairs Blue Calming Cream. I do this once a week because I don’t want to over-exfoliate my skin.
I haven’t actually tested a lot of chemical exfoliator tbh but this exfoliating toner from Jumiso is the gentlest AHA toner I’ve ever used. It doesn’t stings if I have open wounds from picking my zits (please don’t do this ><), no tingling sensation when I left it on my skin to let it work. I do experience mild purging when I first use this toner but eventually it helps smoothing out my skin’s texture. Within the right routine and products, it helps speed up the fading of my PIE and PIH. I love that it contains hydrating and repairing ingredients that my skin can benefit from it too unlike some exfoliating toners that only focus on exfoliating ingredients.
Overall I think this is a good exfoliating toner with minimal ingredient list and good price point. However I would still like to remind to patch test first if you’re a beginner, or start with a lower AHA concentration instead. YMVV!
