REVIEW | Biore UV Perfect Spray SPF50+ Pa++++

Sunscreen is one of the essential skincare items that we need to have. Long exposures to UV rays may cause premature aging, melasma and even worst, skin cancer. Sunscreen needs to be reapplied every 2-3 hours as it will wear off when you are sweating or rubbing on your face. But most people don’t reapply their sunscreens because it is quite difficult especially when wearing makeup. So, a spray sunscreen would be really handy for this purpose.

Luckily, Biore has come out with a spray sunscreen!

A non-sticky, light smooth and quick dry UV spray that protects you from harmful UVA & UVB rays. Suitable for daily use and for outdoor activities.

Biore claims that this spray sunscreen can be used over makeup. It also waterproof and sweatproof.

It is in tin packaging with 75g of product. Quite tall and big to fit in my small backpack. But it is lightweight.

The nozzle is also functioning well. The product distributed evenly.

I have tried another range of Biore sunscreen – Biore Aqua Essence. To be honest, this is like a spray version of it. The finishing and texture are pretty similar.

It has a slightly pale yellow color. It forms a fine tiny bubble because of aerosol spray but it will go away

Butane, Alcohol, Isobutane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Triazone, PEG/PPG/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propane, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Polysilicone-9, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Dimethicone, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Fragrance (Parfum), BHT, Squalane, Tocopherol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract

As you can see, alcohol is in the second place in ingredient list. If you are allergic to alcohol, you might need to take this into consideration.

I can’t guarantee that spray sunscreen will give you full protection against UVA/UVB even though it has SPF 50+ PA++++ rating. This is because the application differs from the cream variant that needs to be evenly applied on the face. When using spray sunscreen, you might miss some spots.

This sunscreen leaves a moisturizing layer on my skin. Best used as makeup base too. My foundation blends in beautifully. I also tried to spray it on top of my makeup. This product didn’t move my makeup at all. But like I said, it gives a moisturizing finish so my makeup looks a bit greasy. So I needed to use a compress powder to mattify my face after spraying.

Another downside, this sunscreen stings my eyes. I suspect it’s the high alcohol content.

No whitecast

A great sunscreen if you love to wear makeup but you need to reapply your sunscreen in the middle of the day. Not recommend to use this as your daily main sunscreen as it will not give adequate protection. Use this only when you need a quick reapplication or on top of makeup.
