To be honest, I had quite a bad experience with this brand, not their body care but skincare. I remember when I was a teenager, I actually used their mousse cleanser in blue colour. I’m not too sure if its still available in market as I don’t really pay attention to it. I had sensitive skin and my acne actually flared up quite badly after using the cleanser. Maybe I had an allergic reaction to it. Still phobia thinking of it.
I got this Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask as a free gift and it’s time to give Neutrogena a second chance I guess. Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask is an intensive facial treatment mask that replenishes and restores moisture instantly and deeply for long lasting moisturization and bouncy skin. It says here each mask instantly boost skin moisture level 12 times, okay so lets it out!
What the product promises:
Provides instant and long-lasting hydration
Deeply hydrates skin cells to leave skin bouncy
Improves skin texture to leave it soft and smooth with a healthy glow
This mask is non-comedogenic, alcohol-free and fragrance-free.
How to use:
STEP 1: CLEANSE YOUR FACE, OPEN PACK AND UNFOLD THE MASK.
STEP 2: PLACE THE MASK AND PRESS LIGHTLY WITH YOUR FINGERTIPS TO SET IN PLACE OVER YOUR FACE.
STEP 3: RELAX FOR 15 MINUTES AND REMOVE MASK. MASSAGE REMAINING FLUID INTO SKIN. DISCARD MASK AFTER USE.
The mask is neatly folded inside the pack. As you can see, the Neutrogena Deep Hydrating Mask is not soaking or dripping wet but looks kind of dry though. When I unfolded it, it was easy to place over my face. But I don’t like it, obviously it was so oversized and not fit into our Asian face feature. As you can see from my picture below, my nose, my forehead and my jawline, totally so unfit and excess part. I need to double folded it so that it able to stay on my face. It says here to leave it for 15 minutes, but in less than 10 minutes, my mask dries out so quickly and I immediately peeled it off. Not much essence left on my skin, almost to dry.
I don’t see any hydrating effect nor any noticeable changes on my skin. It feels just like putting on a wet paper on my face. It has no smell at all for this mask. And to be honest, it doesn’t do anything special on my skin and I definitely won’t purchase it again. I would only rate 1/5 for this product, it was totally a waste of money and bad experience. Guess I won’t be coming back for some time after this round of testing out this mask.
