Ever since masks became a mandatory thing, my poor skin has been suffering from mask-acne, or maskne. To give you an idea of what maskne is, it’s just basically pimples that appear due to the frequent wearing of masks. This is caused from the humid environment within the mask, allowing bacteria to just grow like the little leeches they are.
Anyhow, I was starting to hate my skin due to how textured it look and the pimples filled with pus keep appearing, despite me taking care of my skin. Then I remembered that Hermo sent me some Hiruscar products (shout out to Hermo!). I always put off trying it out because I was fortunate enough not to have pimples previously, so now is the time for Hiruscar to prove itself.
When I first used it, I find the texture to be rather interesting. It’s a bit sticky with a gel-like consistency. I was expecting the products to have different types of textures since they have different functions, but they are the same in my opinion.

Without further ado, here are some photos of my maskne. Photos are taken on the 11th of August.
So I begin my journey with Hiruscar on the 11th of August, and I’m writing this article on the 28th of August, which is approximately 2 and a half weeks of usage. I applied it once every day before going to sleep (although the Post Acne Gel’s instructions is to apply it 2-3 times a day). According to their instructions, they recommended applying it after your normal skincare routine for optimal results so I just applied it after toning and moisturising. And here are the results.
Honestly, I was shocked to see the results when I wrote this article. The difference is really huge! You can see that the inflammation, scar marks, and redness are reduced by at least 70%. I believe if I continued using Hiruscar, my skin can finally go back to normal. I should really follow the products’ instructions if I want quicker results hahaha.
Definitely giving Hiruscar a 5/5 rating. Can’t wait to get back my smooth skin!
