REVIEW | Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser

Other than Cetaphil cleanser, my second love will be this COSRX SALICYLIC ACID GENTLE CLEANSER. I heard a lot of this cleanser from one of my favourite dermatologist as one of the cleansers that contains BHA (beta hydroxy/salicylic acid). If you are not sure what is BHA, let me do a quick introduction for further understanding.

BHA is oil soluble and it works on skin’s surface and deep inside the pore. In short, this BHA will absorb into our pore and do the magic by digging out all the dirt. So this cleanser is often used by people with oily and acne prone skin to treat bumps, clogs, blemishes, and enlarged pores. BHA also has natural skin-calming properties, so it’s gentle enough for skin that’s sensitive or prone to redness. Also, if you are dealing with stubborn milia seed. This is for you! I have been dealing with a lot of comedones and blackheads, even until now I am still dealing with it. Oh gosh!

I didn’t really notice this brand until my dermatologist talked about it. And so happened that I saw Hermo is selling it so I bought it during their last promotion. I just give it a try see if my skin still suitable for this cleanser as it written for acne prone skin. As I mentioned before, I don’t mind trying out new skin product as long as it able to helps on my acne! So let’s get started on the review, I used it for 5 days before I share this review.

This is a foam cleanser, so of course it will be full of lather and washed off all the oil that sit on the surface of my face. Just squeeze a small amount, pea size will do and sufficient to lather the whole face.

How to use:

1. APPLY ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF CLEANSER ON A WET PALM, GENTLY MAKE FOAM BEFORE APPLYING ON YOUR FACE.

2. MASSAGE THE T-ZONE AREA WHERE BLACKHEADS, WHITEHEADS AND EXCESSIVE OIL ARE EASILY FORMED.

3. WASH IT OFF WITH LUKEWARM WATER FOR 3~4 TIMES AND SPLASH THE COLD WATER TO TIGHTEN UP PORES.

My Opinion:

Overall, I think this is not bad. Even though it is foam type but it doesn’t lather much. Not soap free but not those common cleansers that product a lot of lather. It doesn’t make my skin dry or tight after washing. My skin feels fresh and clean. I will probably repurchase this item again because I need a gentle and soap-free cleanser. But one thing I really don’t like about this cleanser is the scent. I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s just not my cup of tea. This tube to me is quite affordable price as it lasts really really long because you just need a small amount to cleanse the whole face. If you’re looking for a budget face cleanser, this is for you! Rate 4/5  for this product based on my personal preferences only. Highly recommended if you’re the acne and oily skin type.
