REVIEW | Mentholatum Botanics Flora & Fruit Mask #Anti Oxidation & Revitalising

I have heard of this brand Mentholatum, but what I know about them is their well-known lip balms. Not really a fan though but their flowery sheet mask just caught my attention. I didn’t know Mentholatum has launched their own sheet mask too!

My very first glance of the mask I thought it was some Korean inspired mask and I took a closer look it was under Mentholatum Botanics range. One thing really special about this mask is their combination of floral and fruit extract. So I grabbed three pieces of the mask instead to try it out. Whenever I see any new masks on the market or brands that I have yet to try, a mask-lover like me would definitely want to try it. And I managed to grab it during some drugstore promotion. Lucky me!

The first mask from this range that I tested was the Botanics Floral and Fruit Mask Antioxidation & Revitalising. The cover itself clearly depicts the coneflower and raspberry. If you don’t know, purple coneflower actually helps to improve skin’s resilience to environmental aggressors, boost hydration and elasticity to skin firm, young & radiant. As we age, our skin tend to lost its elasticity and that’s the reason why some of the women start to consume collagen in their daily routine.

As for raspberry juice, it was well-know as rich in anti-oxidants to improve skin dullness and restore radiance. ‘Berries are a great source of antioxidants, such as anthocyanins, ellagic acid, and resveratrol. In addition to protecting your cells, these plant compounds may reduce disease risk’. Information quoted from

Not only that, this mask is also enriched with Hyaluronic Acid with high water retention to infuse moisture deeply into skin to drench skin with intense hydration, making it appear soft, smooth & supple. Hyaluronic Acid did a very good job to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles on our skin.

When the skin is protected and hydrated, then skin cell production can take place. It is super helpful for those with very dry skin. The mask is woven from tree fiber, it is a smooth and breathable mask that fits more comfortably and close to the contour of the face allowing skin to fully absorb the essence.

How to use:

Suitable for all skin types. Apply sheet mask on cleansed face, remove after 10-15 minutes, gently massage remaining essence into face and neck until fully absorbed

My Opinion:

To me, this is a normal mask and I didn’t really see any obvious results on my skin. Yes, of course it does moisturize and nourish my skin temporarily but not really a mind blowing product. I think it is definitely suitable for daily use for those who want to feel fresh and hydrate skin. Still a good product to me and the price is affordable too. Rate 3/5 for this product. To me, I think it is suitable for all skin type and not a pocket-burning mask.
