“Maybe its Maybelline…”
Maybelline is no longer unfamiliar to us where ever we go. It is a famous makeup brand from New York that is widely popular throughout the nation. It can be found at drugstores, pharmacies, selected malls and Hermo! So, when they first launched their Fit Me! range in New York, it made me anxious to give a try.
Fit Me! is a range that specifically focused on face makeup product as such foundation, powder, blusher and concealer. As I was searching for something from the range, I was interested to give Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Powder a try! This review is my personal opinion after testing it on my skin. Keep scrolling if you want to know more!
Fit Me! range from Maybelline is one of the first brands to release various shades of face product that includes darker shades. Usually, their face product shades are until medium skin tone only. But due to our multi race with different skin tones, they released various shades with a reasonable price. I got this for a bargain price so I bought two shades for me to test on; #130 Buff Beige and #220 Natural Beige.
Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Powder claimed that this pressed powder does not clog pores and mattifying your skin also controls shine up to 12 hours. According to the name, it is mattifying especially to those who have oily skin. It is very good because it could remove the shine from the oil without leaving any patches trace.
It comes in a square shape, which commonly other brands will create a round shape. I like how it is in square shape because I always find it is troublesome when I want to organize my makeup stash. When it is in rounded shape, it will easily move but when it is square shape, I can simply put and organize it without consuming so much space.
It also comes with a sponge and mirror at the bottom of powder section. It is very convenient because we can easily retouch our make up without needing to find a mirror or bring along a makeup sponge. Also, the good thing about this pressed powder is that they included a seal the bottom of the powder. For me, it is secure enough to know whether it has been opened or not because you need to break the seal to open it.
Here I am swatching these two shades. To compare:
Foundation + Powder
As you can see that it removes dewy effect from the foundation and leaves a mattifying effect. As I observed that it didn’t feel cakey or leave any cracks.
Primer + Powder
When I applied this on top of the primer, the base looks even smoother and this perfectly for my daily look. I don’t feel heavy or any dryness which made me feel very comfortable. It also blurs out my pores and made it invisible through out the day.
Talc, Perlite, Triisostearin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Magnesium Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol. May Contain: CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides
After observing this Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Powder, I can say that this pressed powder deserve to get 9 out of 10. It is very lightweight and it didn’t make my skin feel cakey at all. Usually, I would feel sweaty if I spent some time under the sunlight. But using this powder even under sunlight, the powder won’t transfer. This means that this powder is waterproof!
It may not cover obvious flaws but to save your day in a minute, this would be the one. Another thing to love about this is that they have various shades to choose from. If you are someone with medium to dark skin tone, you will have options to pick from!
