REVIEW | Mentholatum Botanics Flora & Fruit Mask #Detoxifying & Hydrating

This will be my second pack of Mentholatum mask that I have used as I bought a few at a go. This time, I tried out the #Detoxifying & Hydrating variant. From the packaging itself, we can clearly tell the main key ingredients for this mask, which are coconut extract and white water lily.

Coconut is well-known for its high nutrient value, and is even used in ancient times for face and hair. Did you know that coconut extract helps to diminish the appearance of acne scars? I didn’t know about it all until I googled it today. Furthermore, it also helps to prevent new acne scars from forming. Cocus Nucifera Extract also detoxify the skin by pulling out toxins that helps get rid of acne.

This is definitely suitable for my acne prone skin and my ugly scars on my face. I have a several deep scars from my previous acne attack.

As for white water llily, it is able to help in balancing cell renewal in the skin and elimination of toxins. Not only that, it also purifies and detoxifies, soothing the skin against irritations and moisturizing as well. Talk about skin irritations, my skin is irritated almost daily or weekly I would say.

These days we wear masks for long hours which triggers my acne and redness on my cheeks area. Oil seeds formed near my eyes area and chin and I blame the mask-ne! I had a hard time dealing with whiteheads and blackheads, and eventually my skin became irritated after I popped my acne. I definitely needed a skin detox for this mask acne, and let’s hope that this mask could help me out.

How to use:

Suitable for all skin types. Apply sheet mask on cleansed face, remove after 10-15 minutes, gently massage remaining essence into face and neck until fully absorbed.

My opinion:

Slightly disappointed as I still don’t really see any obvious results on my skin. I was hoping that this mask was able to reduce my redness on my cheek but unfortunately it doesn’t really help. It does moisturize and nourish my skin but does not help on my acne prone skin. Still a good product to me and the price is affordable too. The essence is quite mild and not strong at all.

In term of scent, it is calming and refreshing as well with its floral and fruit combination. Rate 3/5 for this product. To me, I think it is suitable for all skin type and not just for sensitive skin. Besides this mask not pocket-burning and quite affordable, easily to get at any drugstore too. And now Hermo is selling them as well.
