This is one of the golden brands in the market, it may not be very funky or fancy looking in their packaging, but those who heard of it will know what I’m talking about. This Johnson’s pH5.5 Nourishing Body Wash With Honey is a very economical shower cream that is suitable for the household, even kids can use it! Needless to say, Johnson brand is always reliable. I myself even use their Johnson baby oil as a make up remover. I’m guessing not all of you know about this?
Most of their soaps are either neutral (pH 7) or alkaline. The more slippery the soap is, the more alkaline it is. I don’t really like high alkaline body washes because they leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable. Then skin start to feel flaky specially on my legs. I like that this body wash’s pH 5.5 formulation works well at cleansing skin thoroughly while leaving it feeling conditioned and smooth. You can easily spot the huge PH5.5 from the bottle itself. They have two different variations if I’m not mistaken, almond and honey. Today I’m trying out the honey version.
How to use:
APPLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF LIQUID ONTO WET CLEANSING PUFF OR SPONGE. MASSAGE INTO A CREAMY LATHER, THEN RINSE.
My Opinion:
This is perhaps the most value-buy body wash I have ever used. For a 1000ml pump bottle this is a very affordable purchase. Sometimes, they even throw in free extra 250ml! The normal one will be 750ml only. I believe that this huge bottle could last me a good six months or more. This is definitely very cost saving for me.
I use one pump with my old loofah and it’s more than enough for my whole body. It lathers up quite well and my skin always feels exceptionally smooth and nourished after using this body wash, probably of the formulation of being soap-free and also due to the honey, which helps retain and lock skin’s moisture. In term of scent, I don’t really like it. Yes, even though it contain honey extract but somehow the smells kind of weird and not so pleasant for me. Its more toward the combination of sweet and nutty kind of scent. But if you are looking for a good and economy body wash, this is it! 4 out of 5 stars for the smell.
