REVIEW | Colgate Optic White Volcanic Mineral Toothpaste

When I was younger I did not pay any attention to my teeth despite having free treatment in my primary and secondary school days. I didn’t give a care and will always opt out of the dental visit. I still remember nurses and dentists will come to our school in a container kind of truck almost every month and really scared me.

The nurses will show us how to brush teeth in a proper way and all of us sometimes we are given free toothpaste or toothbrush as a gift. But I hated scaling and filling so much that I will try my best to skip school! When I was 15 years old that year, I decided to go for braces and that’s when time I really paid attention to my teeth. I wore my braces for about 5 years and after removal of my braces I really wanted to take good care of my teeth.

During the launch of Colgate Optic White Toothpaste in Malaysia I gave it a try as it stated to give whiter teeth after just one week. Here it stated the toothpaste contains volcanic mineral known for natural absorbency power. It also has whitening accelarators that safely exfoliate stains from teeth surface for long lasting white radiant smile.

When used regularly it can also helps to fight cavities, protect enamel , remove plaque  and  freshen the breath. So many benefit in one toothpaste so why not? Colgate Optic White tooth paste  contains small micro beads that safely exfoliate stains and polish teeth surface.

How to use:

  1. Brush teeth thoroughly, preferably after each meal or at least twice a day, or as directed by a dentist or physician.
  2. Use top of cap to open safety seal. For best performance, keep cap closed when not in use.
  3. Store in room temperature.
  4. Use by Children under 2 years should be under the advice of a physician or dentist. In case of intake of flouride from other sources, consult a dentist or a doctor.

My Opinion:

This one is pretty similar with the Darlie Charcoal Clean but somehow this one is more premium to me. This is not made with charcoal substances but volcanic mineral instead. But one good thing about this toothpaste is there are micro beads in it that helps to ‘scrub’ my teeth for a better cleansing whereas Darlie Charcoal Clean doesn’t contains any micro beads. Of course there’s good and bad about this micro beads, it is something very not eco friendly if you ever read about it. Well, long story short, indeed this is a good toothpaste that cleans my teeth really well. Also this is my very first time test out this toothpaste from Colgate, it seems to be so premium and expensive to me, so I decided to give it a try when drugstores is having some promo.

This toothpaste does help with my bad breath and make my teeth squeaky clean as well. But the thing is, it is not as minty as I expected it to be. The tiny little micro beads does wonders on my yellowed teeth and scrub off all the cavities that hidden under my gums. I think this toothpaste even suitable for kids use due to it is not as minty and not spice up the gums. I would rate this as 5/5 products and nope, this is not economical at all due to the price but definitely worth a try.
