How to use:
- Shake well before use.
- Use a dropper to deliver a truly precise custom application tailored to the look you want:
- 2 drops for sheer coverage
- 4 drops for medium coverage
- 6 drops for full coverage
- Apply with fingertips or with a foundation brush.
- Start in the center of the face where we usually need more coverage and work out toward the edge of the face.
My review:
I was really excited to try out BY TERRY’s Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation because I absolutely love a good skincare infused makeup product. Imagine your skin getting all that goodness on the inside whilst you’re covered in flawless makeup on the outside. That’s #goals right there for me! 😂 This foundation is not the first premium foundation I’ve tried as I believe that it is really important to find something of quality when it comes to the base of your makeup, aka your foundation. 😉
Anyway on to my review! BY TERRY’s Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation comes in a solid glass bottle, sized perfectly to fit in the palms. Its glass dropper easily controls the foundation to drip out in proportionate amounts with a slight squeeze. The texture of the foundation is on the more liquid side, but I was really surprised that the coverage was really good and lightweight even though I only tried a single drop on my hand.
The application from the brush to my skin was effortless as the foundation melted on my skin weightlessly, as though I was applying my usual skincare routine. I could always feel something on my skin whenever I wore makeup, but this was the first time I didn’t feel anything, just like I wasn’t wearing makeup, with no sticky, cakey feeling at all and it just felt hydrating and comfortable on the skin.
Here’s my attempt at trying their recommended dosage for sheer, medium and full coverage!
From left to right:
2 drops for sheer coverage,
4 drops for medium coverage &
6 drops for full coverage
I’d personally say 4 drops was the magic number for me as I like a more light, dewy look that still was able to cover my acne scars. 😂 Also, can we just take a moment to admire that glow and smooth skin BY TERRY’s Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation is giving me?! I’m in awe because it looks almost like I have naturally flawless, dewy skin. I guess I can skip the highlighter when using this!
Oftentimes products with dewy finish can look oily after long hours but this was one stayed dewy and light at all the right places throughout the day. Although there were minor wears after doing a wipe test, I consider it a pretty solid pass as I didn’t apply any setting spray for this.
I may be always on the lookout for a bargain, but I too believe that there are certain things that deserve an investment and this is definitely one of them.
