Body wash is a basic necessity most of us use every day. I use it at least three times a day, how about you? Using the right one can make a difference between a so-so and a pampering shower.
Nowadays, most of us young ladies are looking for something more exclusive and spa-level kind of shower experience. What really caught my attention for this Nivea Clay shower is their bottle to be honest. This is something so new in Nivea that I never see before. It comes in three different scents which are Ginger & Basil, Hibiscus & White Sage and Blue Agave & Lavender. I just bought it all as I couldn’t decide which one to purchase. Since we use body wash daily, so why not? It claims to be a Clay Fresh Shower, I’m just so excited to try it out.
This body wash is formulated with kaolin clay to help balance deep cleansing, freshness and care with every shower. If you don’t know what is Kaolin Clay, let me do a quick introduction. Kaolin clay is one of the mildest forms of clay which delivers on that purified and soft skin feeling. Clay is known for its absorption properties leaving skin feeling clean and soft. The formula deep cleanses skin without causing it to feel dry, leaving skin feeling pure, deeply clean and noticeably velvety soft. It’s just like a clay mask that we used to put on our face, but this is something like a body mask for shower. It is mild and suitable for everyday use.
How to Use:
FOR A PURE AND VELVETY SOFT SKIN FEELING, SQUEEZE THE CLAY SHOWER GEL INTO THE PALM OF YOUR HAND OR ONTO YOUR PREFERRED APPLICATOR. THEN GENTLY MASSAGE ACROSS YOUR SKIN IN A CIRCULAR MOTION. WATCH AS THE SHOWER GEL LATHERS UP, LEAVING YOUR SKIN FEELING PURE AND VELVETY SOFT, EVEN AFTER TOWEL DRYING.
My Opinion:
It has a nice creamy and thick consistency. I actually didn’t expect the consistency to be so thick or clay-like which was a surprise for me but I loved it. This body wash came in one size only which is the 250 ml so yeah, the size is just nice if you are planning to tag along during travelling. As for the packaging, the flip top cap is easy to use in the shower and it close pretty tight without worrying of any leakage even if you place it upside down.
The body wash bottle is a green clay colour, what you see from the packaging is the real colour of the shower cream. I used this together with my loofah and it gave a good lather on my skin and rinsed off easily. My skin of course did feel soft after using and not drying. I would say that it was more towards kind of gentle body wash compare to other brands.
I think that this shower wash would work for all skin types because it was soft but because it contains the clay it would be great for oilier skin that don’t want extra oil on themselves. Even it stated here ginger and basil, but personally thinks that the smell is still acceptable and not really strong. Overall, I really loved this shower wash. I can’t really say a bad thing about it, apart from the bottle not being big enough. Highly recommended.
