REVIEW | Sexylook Mask Limited Edition Set #Whitening

I bought these Sexylook Whitening masks and haven’t unboxed them yet until I decided to use them today. Nope, I didn’t buy it from Taiwan but from Hermo instead when they are having their crazy sales. SexyLook is a rather well-known Taiwanese skincare brand and you could easily find in drugstores. On their packaging, they claimed that 1 billion units was sold! How amazing! They are most known for their obsidian black sheet masks.

I chose this Sexylook Mask Limited Edition Set box because they are limited edition. First things first, I’m going to start with this box whitening series because currently my skin still calm from any acne  breakouts *touchwood*. So, l decided to try this box to whiten my skin a bit since last two days I was exposed with too much of sunlight.

This is also one of the masks that contains gold flakes, just like the one I tried from Bio Essence, they are quite similar to be honest as both are black in colour. As I mentioned previously, gold is an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. Our skin tends to sag when its elasticity decreases so gold flakes in our skincare can actually improve the elasticity of the tissues. Thus, this will further prevent the skin from sagging. Indirectly, gold increases the elasticity of the skin, thus making it more firm and toned.

How to use:

  • After cleaning and toner, apply the mask for 10-15 minutes.
  • If essence is still on your skin after application, you can gently massage it in to help skin absorption, no need to wash off.
  • Continue with your routine skincare such as latex (cream), lock the nourishing ingredient in the skin.

My Opinion:

Although this mask was meant for whitening, but it is quite moisturizing too. This mask might not be the most moisturizing mask that I ever used, but it definitely hydrates my skin. When unsealed, there isn’t a soaking wet of excess serum in the packet, but there’s enough for the mask to be fully saturated.

My advise is you need to be extra careful when you unfold the mask, as the material is quite thin and please beware if you have a long and sharp fingernails, you don’t want to scratch off your mask just like that. As I unopened the packet, the scent of the mask is quite pleasant but I doesn’t know how to describe the exact scent, probably a mixture of floral and ocean kind of scent. Not strong and relatively mild. When I placed it on my face, the size actually not so fitting especially on the nose and mouth area.

I left it on for a good 15minutes and it was all dried up on my face. In terms of whitening, I did notice an immediate brightening effect after I took off the mask, which I think lasted until the next day. So as a conclusion, if you are looking for an affordable yet effective whitening mask, I think this is a good choice and you can easily find it at any drugstore or get it from Hermo! Online shopping makes our life much easier now. I would rate 4/5 for this product, and it suitable for all skin type.
