REVIEW | Pantene Micellar Detox and Purify Algae Extract Scalp Shampoo

When mentioned about micellar, all we could think about is makeup remover. Micellar is widely known as a cleanser to help remove dirt and oil. This is due to the presence of micelles, which are the particles that are highly effective at removing dirt and oil to keep skin clear.

With this innovative shampoo, the term micellar is no longer specialized for skincare. Pantene is one of the famous brands that conquered with their hair products since 1945 and they finally stepped up their game by introducing Pantene Micellar Detox & Purify Algae Extract Scalp Shampoo. Unlike other common and harshly shampoo, micellar shampoo is way more innovative and safe to use.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

This first ever micellar shampoo series from Pantene is free from silicones and maintaining with their formula which containing pro vitamin. Pro vitamin is very good for your hair because it functions as a humectant that increases the water content of hair and improves its elasticity.

PACKAGING

This Pantene Micellar Detox & Purify Algae Extract Scalp Shampoo bottle has a 300ml capacity. There are a few variants for this range with their own distinct colour packagings; this shampoo is packaged in blue.

It has a clear-looking liquid gel texture with a hint of bubblegum citrus scent. In my opinion, their scent is very pleasant and won’t annoy you. What I love about their packaging is the pump dispense used instead of squeezing the bottle. I preferred pump because I don’t have to put much force to dispense the product. Also, the bottle is clear and you can see the amount left inside the bottle.

FORMULATION

Since it is a micellar shampoo, it is a clear gel with less bubble formation. It produces a creamy foam instead of bubbling up upon lathering it on my damp hair and scalp.

The scent is not too strong yet not easy to brush off means your hair will remain smelling good throughout the day. As a hijabi, I really admire this kind of hair shampoos because when we wrapped our hair with a hijab, our hair would not be aired and more sebum may be produced. But Pantene Micellar Detox & Purify Algae Extract Scalp Shampoo which contains detoxing and purifying properties for the hair will help in preventing hair from smelling bad and reduce sebum.

RATE

After rinsing this Pantene Micellar Detox & Purify Algae Extract Scalp Shampoo, my scalp feels clean and I tend to scratch my hair lesser than before. I cannot deny that my hair does smells really good.

I could feel my hair getting stronger when I tried to pull it, there is no hair fall. Previously, I would get a bunch of hair falling off from my hair. Hence, I am giving this eight out of ten because I do love it.
