Anyone here scared to use Vitamin C due to the fear of stinging sensation? I can totally understand that as I have dark scars. I want to fade it fast but too scared of the stinging sensation from the Vitamin C. Also, of course too lazy to keep it in fridge. Results
The lightweight texture makes my oily skin feels comfortable as it absorbs into skin well without tackiness. However, if I use a bit extra than usual, my skin can feel slightly tacky but will fade after fully absorb. I can use this serum day and night without worries because it didn’t sting at all as it is Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which is a vitamin C derivative. This serum doesn’t clog my pores or give any negative reaction. Not even purging.
As for the hydrating effects, this serum doesn’t really provide a significant hydration. Use smaller amount not enough hydration, bigger amount may feel slight tackiness so I just layer this serum with other hydrating products and it is working nicely.
For the brightening effects, I don’t see a significant result by using just this serum. I pair this serum with Neogen Dermalogy Real Ferment Micro Essence and I can see more significant result. Both products complement each other well.
Overall, this serum suits those that want to avoid stinging sensation and more stable vitamin C serum. So convenient and did a good job with a consistent usage. Even beginners can use this serum as long as you don’t over-exfoliate your skin.
