REVIEW | Tresemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner

As promised previously, I will be reviewing this Tresemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner. First of all, what can you think of when you see the word keratin? For me, instantly I think about collagen. LOL. Guess I was wrong. Keratin is a kind of protein that makes up your hair, skin, and nails. It was commonly found in styling products to help strengthen hair. Most of the time, we dye, perm, bleach and curls our hair, indirectly we are damaging the protein in our hair. So basically, keratin is like a supplement to your hair that helps to strengthen and nourish your hair. This shampoo itself combines with argan oil as well.

Argan oil as we all know, it is one of the best oil ever that widely used in hair care product. Why so? It can moisturize your hair and scalp as well as reducing breakage and split ends to keep your scalp healthy. If you have a problematic hair like me, highly recommend to use some hair care products that contain argan oil. This conditioner claims that it has 5 in 1 benefits by using these TRESemmé conditioner, which are anti-frizz, detangles, shines, smoothens, and tames fly-aways.

Well, lets see if it works on my hair. Scroll down and keep reading.

How to use:

  1. AFTER SHAMPOOING, APPLY FROM MID-LENGTHS TO ENDS.
  2. LEAVE FOR 2-3 MINUTES AND RINSE.

My opinion:

The scent is the same as their other conditioners and comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a press cap that shuts firmly. The bottle is opaque white in colour as well. I personally do not much comment regarding their packaging, the most important is how it does wonders on my hair. The conditioner is white, creamy, and very easy to apply. Its not too thick nor too runny. This is one of the conditioner that wash off easily and doesn’t leave any residue behind.

As an Asian, I have typical Chinese straight hair and totally no straightening iron needed in my life. I don’t have any frizzy hair issue, most of the time my hair is straight and flat. To me, I feel that it does weigh down my hair a little but other than that I don’t really see any particular effect on my hair. It works like any other conditioner but one thing I would say is after using this conditioner, I no longer need to apply any hair serum or hair oil before I dry my hair. This conditioner itself is softening enough to moisture my hair and I wouldn’t want to weigh down my hair even more by applying another coating on my hair. This is a not bad product, but probably not going to repurchase it again since it weigh down my hair a little. Recommended if you belong to dry or frizzy hair. If you have a thin hair like mine, you might need to stay away from this conditioner.
