REVIEW | Tresemme Total Salon Repair Shampoo

As you know when it comes to shampoo, I’m extremely particular and picky due to my scalp problem previously which caused serious hair loss problem for me and I can’t afford to anyhow test out any shampoos and not every shampoos I slap on my hair. But sometimes I got no choice and I need to run to my neighbourhood supermarket to get a shampoo for emergency purposes.

I was packing for a camping trip and it was a late night packing so the only shop that open 24/7 is a 7 -11. So I grabbed this Tresemme Total Repair Salon shampoo and so yea, might as well I shared my thoughts with you guys since I have tried it. To be honest, I don’t color nor style my hair most of the time unless some special occasions upcoming. I don’t straighten my hair as well, the most I did was blowing my hair dry with a hairdryer. But do you know that even blow drying our hair with might cause stressed and damaged hair too? So yes, this is where Total Salon Repair steps in.

With the Nourishing Power Ionic Complex, TRESemme Total Salon Repair help give nutrients and care for the damaged hair almost instantly. It helps the hair stronger and reduce the risk of hair fall (due to breakage). Touchwood, my hair no longer has split ends after I cut off my long hair. But still I’m blowing my hair as usual. The cloudy and milky gel-like shampoo lathers on easily on the hair. It smells so nice, it just smells like a salon shampoo (If you get what I meant here). It was pretty acceptable also and not super overpowering. It claims to helps clean the hair and give them shine with perfume too. I used it for a good 5 washes before I shared my review here.

How to use:

  1. APPLY TO WET HAIR, GENTLY MASSAGE AND RINSE THOROUGHLY.
  2. USE WITH TRESEMMÉ TOTAL SALON REPAIR CONDITIONER

My opinion:

After 5 washes, I would say that this shampoo is not my cup of tea and it totally weighed down my hair and made my hair flat like a pancake. Probably due to its ingredients that contains minerals and macadamia oil. I have a super greasy scalp and thin hair as well. So whenever I used a shampoo that are contains such ingredients it will make my scalp oily and cause me some scalp itchiness very quickly. And I will look like I have been in kitchen cooking for the whole day. LOL. If you are someone with dry and flaky scalp, I think this product is for you as it helps in nourishing and moisturize your scalp. I would rate only 2/5 as this is not up to my liking.
