There was a time where Maybelline made the girls all over Asia go crazy with their Fit Me! campaign. Even, Malaysian girls were requesting for Fit Me! range in Malaysia. Well, say no more because Maybelline finally granted our wish! Fit Me! range were everywhere because for the first time, a drugstore brand brought in various shades for different skin tones especially for our types of skin tone which is very hard to match.
I still remember when they first landed in Malaysia, almost all the stores were sold out of all shades! Some need to wait for restock and some willingly pre ordered it. After a while, Maybelline decided to make it permanent since it was highly requested from consumers. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation is highly raved because of the reviews from USA and it claimed to be the best foundation you could ever try at a very cheap price. Malaysians have various skin tones which are hard to match but Maybelline Fit Me foundation provide the shades to match many skintones.
I can confidently say that every girl’s makeup stash would have at least a bottle of Maybelline Fit Me. Well, it is because Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation carries at least twenty-one shades for fair to dark skin tone, you name it! I could not miss the chance to get my hands on this. Hence, I am trying with the shade of #120 Classic Ivory.
It says that it is super blendable even though it is matte where we do have believe that if it is mattifying, it will makes you hard to blend. Since it is a matte foundation, it is made for normal to oily skin. It is not suggested for dry skin because it may leave patchy and dry texture on your skin. According to the name, it refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish. So, it will minimize the appearance of your pores without needed to wear any primer.
Previously, this Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation is very troublesome because it didn’t come with any pump like other regular foundation. So, you need to pour it out which will be a huge mess! But, the latest batch came with a pump which solved this problem. I don’t understand why it didn’t come with any pump when it was supposed to be an essential thing in foundation application.
With only one pump, it can actually cover up your whole face if you aiming for a minimal look. As you can see, with one pump and a pearl sized amount, I could cover that much! I don’t really wear foundation so I will usually use this amount and it is enough to cover.

Since it is highly rave among Malaysians especially beauty gurus, I would say that this foundation is a so-so. I don’t feel like it was special but I don’t mean that its not very good. Although it claimed to be lightweight, however I could feel a bit tackiness and a little bit uncomfortable to wear for the whole day.
As I have normal to combination skin, I probably need to moisturize my skin very well. If not, I will end up with patchy and hard to blend foundation on my skin. For the price, I would say that this foundation really matches with the price. It is not too cheap yet still affordable. Would I repurchase again? Probably no. Hence, I am giving six out of ten.
