I am a very picky when it comes to finishing powder because as I don’t really wear foundation daily, I would pick a finishing powder instead. I don’t really enjoy wearing foundation for so many hours so instead, I would use finishing powder and let my skin breathe. It is not easy to find the perfect one for your skin but that doesn’t mean there will be no option at all.
After I did some research to find a new finishing powder, I stumbled upon Cosme page where most products that were rated good are given award! So, I found Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder SPF26/PA++ which had won Best Cosmetics Award by Cosme in 2018. I am full of curiosity because if a product won an award, it means that the product is super duper good!
PRODUCT INFORMATION
According to their name, Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder SPF26/PA++ will create a sweet-looking face that’s as soft and light; just like a marshmallow. It has a very delicate powder that combines the smoothness of silk and the softness of a marshmallow. It comes in five different shades but focusing more on fairer skin tone. Well, it kinda disappointing but since it is a Japanese brand, so their market would be for fairer skin tone.
It has an additive-free mineral formulation that’s kind to your skin. So it can be removed with ordinary facial wash without much force. Unlike other face powders, it contains 72% mineral ingredients which are very gentle to the skin. Good thing that it is free from surfactants, tar-based pigments, alcohol and fragrance. Their formulation really interesting as it made to prevents make-up wearing off due to shininess, dullness or dryness.
PACKAGING
Just like other compact powders but I think it is very classy to have their logo embossed on top of it. The packaging is gold in colour and the lace around it makes it look very beautiful. It also comes with a fluffy soft puff. Don’t ever underestimate their puff because by using their puff, you can build a nice coverage.
Surprisingly, it contains ten beautifying agents to prevent skin becoming dry and rough. There are moisturizing agents which are aloe vera leaf extract, rosemary extract, chamomile extract, lemon extract. Also there are toning agents and emollient agents such as horse chestnut extract, perilla (shiso) leaf extract, squalane, olive oil, jojoba oil and grape seed oil. What’s even surprising is that it contains concealing powder that makes pores and unevenness in skin texture much less noticeable. The two different-sized types of spherical powder particles create a light-scattering effect, making it hard to notice areas of concern, such as pores and unevenness of skin texture.
SWATCHES
I swatched on my right hand and did not use any powder or primer on my left hand. While on my right it is obviously covered by Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder SPF26/PA++. It blurs out my pores and make my skin looks soft and smooth. I love to pair this with gel primer as it sticks very well!

RATING
Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder SPF26/PA++ would be my best ever powder I have ever tried. I love how it did not leave any patchy texture but instead it blurs out my pores and it stick well to the skin even I am only using sunscreen as the base. Since it is a finishing powder, it does not conceal your flaws but it helps to enhance as such blurring pores.
As usual, Canmake secured it by having SPF26 with PA++ in it. I love how it will protect my skin from the scorching sun which it will give double protection to the skin. It is such an amazing product because I don’t feel any weight on my skin after using it. Probably if you are having normal skin without flaws, you may love this instantly. Hence, I am giving this nine out of ten!
