After getting my hands on the original Laneige Cream Skin Refiner and loving it immensely, I felt the need to get my hands on all of the products within the collection. So while I’ve previously reviewed the Milk Oil Cleanser and Mist from the same line, here’s my take on the Cream Skin Quick Skin Pack! Is it worth it, or should you just stick to the original glass bottle?
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
An easy-to-use skin pack that provides instant soothing and hydrating effects with the help of a highly fitting Tencel sheet formulated with an ample amount of facial cream. Suitable for all skin types, especially dry and sensitive skin. Dermatologically and hypoallergenic tested.
FULL INGREDIENTS:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Inulin Lauryl Carbamate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propanediol, Disodium EDTA, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol.
VOLUME:
100 pads / 4.7 fl.oz.
PACKAGING:
Translucent double-walled plastic jar with an opaque white screw cap. Twisting the cap open, when new, there is a plastic safety seal to ensure the product’s freshness and to reduce potential leakage issues.
And once you peel off this safety seal, you’ll find an inner plastic divider with a pair of white plastic tongs to take the Quick Skin Packs out of the tub without directly touching them. Certainly a hygienic plus point!
PERIOD AFTER OPENING (PAO):
12 months
HOW TO USE:
- Using the applicator, take out the necessary amount of tencel sheets.
- Place the tencel sheet on both cheeks, forehead and chin, or on areas desired. Leave on for at least 2 minutes.
- Then remove the sheet and dab the skin from the center of the face outwards for full absorption.
SCENT:
It is unscented (no artificial fragrance nor essential oils) but there is a mild milky scent.
TEXTURE/FINISH:
Thin, soft, circular 100% Tencel sheets drenched in the signature moisturising-oily texture of the Cream Skin Refiner. Recommended to tilt the jar upside down to make sure the sheets are sufficiently coated with each use!
MY SKIN TYPE:
Sensitive (prone to redness and irritation), combination-dry, acne-prone and dehydrated.
OVERALL THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCE:
Fun fact: before I got the full-sized Cream Skin Refiner (CSR), Laneige Malaysia actually had a roadshow giving out samples of the new launch in sachets which I enjoyed a lot. Primarily because they were convenient and travel-friendly, and even more so because these circular “masks” fit well on my face and provided sufficient hydration and moisture while also soothing my sensitive skin immediately!
Hence, when Laneige officially launched the Cream Skin Quick Skin Pack, I was super interested. And yes, these are exactly the same Tencel sheets as in those sample sachets! They’re also similarly drenched in the signature Cream Skin Refiner toner.
So, are these worth it? To be honest, point masks are always a bit tricky to calculate in terms of cost-effectiveness (why not sheet masks right?) but I’ve really enjoyed using these for when I need an extra moisture boost in between skincare steps! Bonus that the jar also comes with plastic tongs which make application very easy and hygienic.
MY RATING:
5/5
Honestly, for me, the Cream Skin Refiner formulation works best to combat my latent dehydration issues via toner-masking so this baby is a convenient dream come true! However, you can always get the normal luxe glass bottle packaging or the even more convenient Mist version and just drench some thin cotton pads (or those compressed capsule masks) with the CSR for the same results. It’s up to you, really. Either way, I highly recommend the CSR in all its forms for all skin types – especially for those with sensitive or sensitized skin!
