WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW?
I believe this is the new packaging of the Hada Labo Aqua Mask. The old packaging has a picture of pretty a model but I love this new packaging because it has a picture of the main ingredient used in this mask on the front of the packet. The old packaging has 5 variations but for the new one, they have reduced them to 3: Hydrating, Repairing and Brightening.
Hada Labo Aqua Mask contains Hyaluronic Acid, with high water retention ability to fully hydrate skin from the surface to inner skin layers leaving skin feeling soft, smooth & supple.
HERMO
I decided to purchase all range of Hada Labo Aqua Mask if there are any difference in those 3 range.
- HYDRATING – Nutrient-rich Seaweed essence and Hyaluronic Acid to help nourish and intensely hydrate skin.
2. REPAIRING – Sea Salt containing Magnesium to sooth and improve skin health while strenghtening skin’s natural protective barrier.
3. BRIGHTENING – Hydrolyzed Pearl extract to help awake dull skin and restore radiance to brighten and balance dull, uneven skin tone
MASK MATERIAL & FITTING
The sheet material for all range is almost the same. It comes with a plastic layer to protect the mask from tearing when unfolding the mask and easier to place on the face. The material is made from a smooth cotton with medium thickness and does not easily tear.
This mask fit nicely on my face and has good adherence. It does not have slits at the jawline but this mask is quite stretchable so I can adjust the mask nicely.
TEXTURE
The texture remind me of Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion. Slightly thicker than water. Not much of product left in packet. It is scentless and colorless.

There are no much difference in ingredients list from 3 of the masks. There are only slight change in arrangement and additional of some key ingredients according to the mask’s range.
PERFORMANCE
Another sheet mask range from Hada Labo that I love. It is so hydrating without leaving a sticky and tacky feel on my skin. Based on the instructions, they recommend to apply this mask after moisturizer. A bit unusual for me but I still use this mask in between toner and serum. But when testing a sheet mask, I will apply right after cleansing my face and skip my moisturizer to evaluate the performance of the sheet mask itself. Recommended wear time is 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the mask is still drenched with product. It takes some time for me pat dry products on my face. I tried again and left on for extra 15 minutes (total 30 minutes ). The perfect time for me. The mask material took a very long time to dry up. I experienced the same result from all 3 masks. My skin feels so much hydrated and plumpy. I think this mask is perfect for someone with dry and dehydrated skin and needs a hydration booster.
