Benton is a k beauty brand that is no stranger to me as I’ve written 3, coming to 4 (read them here, here & here) reviews about the brand. Overall my experience has been good with the brand, so I decided to try their products from my favourite skincare category of them all: masks! I’m breaking down a little about Benton’s Snail Bee High Content mask and Benton’s Aloe Soothing mask in a table so you can compare the difference better.

Snail Bee High Content mask
I was quite excited to try this mask as I had a great experience with the essence from the same Snail Bee High Content line (my review here). The mask’s thickness was moderate, not very thin but not considered thick either. There wasn’t much essence left in the packet but the mask was soaked well enough that it was sufficient to hydrate my skin throughout the entire masking period. Though most masks don’t fit my face to perfection, I couldn’t believe the fit could be so off for this one. There was just too much space at the nose area, eyes and it wouldn’t cover my whole forehead. I don’t even have a considerably high forehead or nose so this was quite disappointing because not all the parts of my skin were getting covered.
After leaving it on for 20 minutes, my skin did feel pretty supple and moisturized but other than that, there wasn’t anything significant. Sometimes you just know how great a mask is when you feel really good after. Though I wanted it to work as well as their essence did for me, unfortunately, I just felt okay after this one.

Aloe Soothing mask
I had a pretty alright experience with Benton’s Aloe Soothing line (Aloe toner review here) and oftentimes aloe vera masks work very normally for me, like a basic day-to-day mask sort of thing. So I didn’t have much hopes when trying out Benton’s Aloe Soothing mask. The mask thickness was moderate, probably the same type of sheet they used for the Snail Bee High Content mask. The fit on the other hand was perfect for me! Really rare which made me really enjoy the whole masking experience. Just like the Snail Bee High Content mask, there wasn’t much essence left in the packet but the mask was soaked well so it was sufficient for me. There was a mild soothing effect and it was absolutely pleasant doing this when a breakout was happening.
After the 20 minutes of masking, my skin felt soothed and hydrated, I even noticed the redness of my pimple go down slightly. I was quite surprised by how much a simple aloe vera mask could be so pleasing like Benton’s Aloe Soothing mask was. My pimple actually subsided a fair bit the next day.

Overall, I never thought that there would be such a significant difference for masks from the same brand when visually they look and feel almost the same. It was interesting trying both masks from the same brand and glad to find out the difference of them both for me.
