REVIEW | LuLuLun Face Mask 7s [#4 Blue Deep Moisturizing]

I have developed a dangerous addiction of sheet masks and will apply a sheet mask almost everyday. In my previous reviews, I mentioned that I’m going to do a challenge for Lululun masks so this week I’m going to test out the one in blue which is meant for intensive hydration!

Lululun is not a new brand to me, prior to this, I have tested the one in pink and gold. Today I’m going to share my thoughts on this one in Blue. This Lululun Deep Moisturizing Mask consists of 7 pieces in the pack and probably could last me for a week if I use it every night. The masks are packed in a single bag like our usual wet tissues or make up remover wipes. Well of course there’s pros and cons of this type of packaging. The pros is it’s more eco friendly and reduces the usage of plastic that will go to waste. But this is super common in Japan and you could even see some of the masks packed in 50 or 100 pieces in a huge ziplock bag. The great thing about this packaging is that it isn’t as wasteful as individually wrapped sheet masks.

This mask is obviously for deep hydration and guess what it is alcohol free! So, if even if you have sensitive skin you don’t have to worry about using it. The main ingredient in all Lululun masks is hyaluroinc acid to seal and maintain moisture in your skin, which makes it deeply hydrating.

This mask contains peony flower extract and seaweed extract which are both helpful in achieving to a firm and supple skin. It also contains rice ceramides, which help the maintain the moisture and health of your skin barrier which prevents the skin from cracking, losing elasticity, and prevents bacteria from getting deep into your skin. This mask claims that the moisture stays on skin 3 hours longer than normal toners!

How to use:

FIRST THOROUGHLY CLEANSE AND DRY THE FACE.

POSITION THE EYE AND MOUTH PARTS AND LIGHTLY PRESS TO ADHERE THE MASK TO THE WHOLE FACE.

LEAVE THE MASK ON FOR 5-10 MINUTES. THE MASK IS ALSO EFFECTIVE IF IT IS LIGHTLY WARMED WITH THE PALMS OF THE HANDS.

REMOVE THE MASK , FOLD, AND DISCARD.

APPLY MASK TWICE DAILY (MORNING AND NIGHT) INSTEAD OF MOISTURIZING CREAMS AND SERUMS.

My opinion:

These are known as daily masks and I realized that Lululun mask size are way smaller than those standard size of sheet mask. Probably Japanese made it to suit Asian face shape. But most of the Japanese has small and love shaped face. But this is something not really up to my liking as it does not cover my entire jaw or my whole face and there are still gaps near my ears area.

However, I have found that they can be stretched a bit but not much. These masks are well saturated with essense but not as much as an individual packaged sheet mask. After 10 minutes of masking, I immediately felt my skin is tighter and much more plump. It is also extremely hydrating and feels very fresh.

I usually mask right before bed, so after removing the mask. Usually I will rub and message the extra essences on my face and let it sit for awhile before I rinse it with water. Due to my acne skin, I doesn’t like a layer of coating sit on top of my skin. Then after washing I will continue with my skin care routine. Overall, for the affordable price, this is a good mask and worth to try and invest as daily mask!
