Looking for an affordable gentle, moisturising and relaxing body wash to guarantee you a good night’s sleep? Then this just might be for you! Formulated with popular soothing ingredients like lavender and chamomile extracts, this feels like a sensitive-skinned insomniac’s dream, which is true, at least for me. Bonus: this baby also contains prebiotics!
Curious? Read on to find out why I now find this a staple in my bath-time ritual for both night and day.

Large white opaque bottle with a light purple pump dispenser.
PERIOD AFTER OPENING (PAO):
HOW TO USE:
Pump into wet hand and work into a creamy lather. Apply to whole body, then rinse off with water after a gentle massage. For best results, use everyday.
*Personal Tip! If you’re looking for more of a light, airy bubble texture, I recommend pumping the body wash onto a bath lily and lathering it up. This will create a satisfying foam texture to further pamper your body with less product usage.
Moderately strong lavender scent which envelopes the senses nicely. However, I’ve found that the scent does not linger completely, so just take it as a nice aromatherapy that washes off.
Tested with at-home four-panelled pH strips to be around pH5-6 when mixed with water. Great mildly acidic pH!
Depending on your preference, you can choose between a creamy, luxurious texture (pumped directly into your hand and lathered with water) or a light, airy consistency (pumped into a bath lily or sponge and lathered up with water).
On both accounts, you’ll still get a soothing, non-sticky finish, though I find lathering it up with a bath lily helps the moisture linger more. Bonus that you have to use less product to cover every inch of your skin this way!
MY BODY SKIN TYPE:
Dry-normal but prone to allergy flare ups due to biological sensitivity issues.
OVERALL THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCE:
Due to stress and lack of self-care, I’ve noticed how my skin would often feel dry and itchy lately. Coupled with a chaotic sleep schedule, in short, these past few years have made me a certified insomniac. Hence why I was so keen on finding a soothing body wash scented with lavender (it personally does help me relax!) to help ease any pent-up tension, even if just a little bit.
While my face can’t always tolerate essential oils (Eos), my body hasn’t shown complete adverse effects – case in point: I love the Love, Beauty and Planet Lavender Argan Oil & Lotion as it actually helped to heal my dry, itchy palm! But, if you’re sensitive to EOs entirely, the good news is that Dove’s Body Wash actually contains Lavender and Chamomile Extracts, instead of oils, so you’re good to go! It also contains an interesting Light Skin Prebiotics formula to strengthen and lock in moisture, which I find true.
So, what’s the verdict? In short: I think I just found a surprisingly affordable skincare gem! As described, it’s gentle, hydrating, moisturising and soothing without breaking the bank. I’ve also noticed any itchy, dry or cracked skin healing well after switching my body wash to this baby! Plus, I did not expect it to be this huge, so it’ll definitely last me a long time.
All in all, I highly recommend this Dove Go Fresh Relaxing Hyrdration Lavender & Chamomile Body Wash. Please do try it out, and if it’s helped you as it does for me, feel free to share the excitement with me! Find me on Instagram @nazxxn if you’re keen. 💜
