REVIEW | BBIA Last Blush

I’ve always been a bigger fan of cream based blush instead of its powder counterparts because it has a more natural finish compared to the powder version. I decided to try BBIA’s Last Blush because I didn’t want to put too much cream based products on my skin as my usual skincare routine plus primer, foundation and concealer to me was already quite thick. Also, the price is super affordable for someone who’s just looking to add a little colour to the cheeks.

BBIA’s Last Blush is a sheer, buildable and smooth cheek colour that blends seamlessly with the skin for a natural appearance. Its pure color pigments feel weightless on the skin and can last for up to 10 hours. Infused with micro-fine powders, BBIA’s next-generation formula is designed to layer flawlessly with liquid or powder makeup as it does on bare skin. It comes in 8 shades with finishings from matte to a subtle sheen with hidden pearl, to suit different skin tones and skin types.

How to use:

  1. Apply to apples of cheeks in a soft, sweeping, circular motion and blend for an even and sheer application.
  2. For a bold look, apply more blush color by gently tapping the bristles on the cheeks, or re-prep the brush and repeat application.
  3. Focus on the center of the apple and build the color to the intensity you desire.

My review:

I bought shade 04 Coral Blossom because I wanted to create the flushed orange look, however I was disappointed that the colour was more pinkish than the picture. I really wanted an orange blush so I bought another blush that could give me that flushed orange look after this purchase which was Lilybyred’s Luv Beam Cheek. I already have a pinkish blush shade so I wasn’t too excited about trying this one.

The colour of the blush is definitely very pigmented, you’ll have to be really, really light handed when using this and I would highly recommend using a brush. With only 1 light dab from the blush, my brush was already very pink (refer to image on the right)! I needed only 1 round of application, my cheeks were already flushed pink! It was quite easy to spread across my cheeks and creating a natural look was rather easy. I went out and came back with blush still on my cheeks so I’d consider it as long lasting because my makeup smears and doesn’t last as I sweat way too easily.

No full rating because the colour swatch from the image was not on par with the actual and I couldn’t get the exact shade I really wanted. If you’re not super particular with that and is looking for an affordable, pigmented blusher, I would definitely recommend getting this!
