In this current cold weather and sometimes fill with rainy seasons, I have always think of beaches. How I wish I can be there, chilling under the sun with some mango smoothie in my hand. This situation always remind me of American movies on California beaches. I have always wanted to go there just to enjoy the sun.
But of course, in this pandemic I won’t be able to go there to enjoy the golden rays of sunshine that falling upon my cheeks and skin. But hey! That’s alright, because I have Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Blush that will make me feel like enjoying the golden sunshine in California! Although I’m physically in Malaysia…..
PRODUCT INFORMATION
GALifornia Blush is one of Benefit Cosmetics’s best blusher that they ever managed to produce. It comes in two sizes which is Mini (available in Hermo) and the full sized. As someone who really into this product, I picked the full size!
Since this is a California themed concept, it has a golden pink shimmer which represents the sun! It blends bright pink with shimmering gold, and capturing the warm glow of California sunshine in a box. Although it may work with all skin tone, but this would be the perfect one for medium to dark skin tone!
PACKAGING
Keeping their traditional Benefit cheek powders, the GALifornia Blush comes in an adorable cardboard box that is printed with amazing artwork. An artwork of a girl with black sunglass with GALIFORNIA printed with shiny gold embossings, giving you some sunny tidal waves vibe! Also, it is equipped with a mini powder brush. Inside, there are blusher that pressed with the design of a radiating sun. The blush also has an overspray of gold sheen on the surface, but it didn’t stay that long because it will go away after a light swipe.
What makes me crave for it is that they have some pink grapefruit and vanilla-y scent! It smells so good but don’t worry, it won’t affect your makeup because they scent didn’t stay when you apply it on your face. Well, it is a good thing for sensitive skin that less tolerant towards scent.

Here I am swatching this GALifornia Blusher and as you can see, it has gold shimmer underneath the pink orange-y blush. It is very easy to blend and I love how it makes my cheek looks like sunkissed.

If you really love to get naturally sunkissed cheek, you should really get this! I have no doubt with this GALifornia Blusher and indeed it really satisfy what I need. Since it is not too pigmented, meaning is is well buildable. Depends on your desire whether you want it to be obvious sunkissed or natural sunkissed. Even though, Benefit Cosmetics didn’t talk much about this, but they proven us that this blusher is what you need. Hence, I am giving this blusher nine out of ten.
