Whenever I’m trying out a new sheet mask brand and is just unsure about which variation to go for, green tea would always be in my top choices because you can never really go wrong with it. Holika Holika’s Pure Essence Green Tea mask is an anti-inflammatory sheet mask that can help reduce inflammation, refresh the skin, restore the skin tone and reduce excessive greasy shine. It’s infused with vitamin C which helps return the skin’s firmness and elasticity. The mask has an ultra thin layer that provides a tight contact with the skin and a better penetration of essence in the sheet mask.

It’s key ingredients green tea controls the oil glands, chamomile extract combats inflammation and moisturizes the skin, while bergamot freshens and brightens up the skin tone.

How to use: 

1. After cleansing skin and applying toner, apply on the face and wait 10-20 minutes before removing. 
2. Gently pat skin to promote absorption of the remaining essence. 

*Avoid contact with your eyes and let the sheet mask dry completely.

My review:

Okay, I was quite impressed with the easy opening at the edges because some masks packs have these small edges to tear but it can be quite messy when torn too hard. I often make a mess with essence splattering on the floor but Holika Holika’s Pure Essence Mask packet was definitely mess-free! 

The sheet mask was soaked thoroughly as you can see there’s some essence dripping on my neck 😂 There wasn’t a lot of essence left in the pack but I didn’t mind that since it hydrated my skin well throughout the masking period. There was a minimal scent and did not give my skin any irritations. The mask was moderately thin and sat closely on my skin. After my 20 minutes of masking, there wasn’t any uncomfortable sticky feeling and my skin felt plump, hydrated and light. 

If you look closely at my forehead area, you can see the brightened skin tone difference! I’m not sure if it’s the type of material used for the sheet mask because I keep getting the imprints of the fold marks on my face. That doesn’t bother me because thankfully it doesn’t stay there for long! 😂

Overall, I really enjoyed using Holika Holika’s Pure Essence Green Tea Mask as I feel that it’s a nice and affordable mask to get for frequent use. I wouldn’t consider it a sheet mask that creates wonders, but I do agree that it does help calm my skin while definitely giving it a brightening boost.
